6/20 - Lagoon
I saved up to buy Lagoon because it looked like a new Crystalis. It was expensive even for a SNES game. Finally had enough, got it, and it was terrible. Just awful. I was so, so mad. I include it here because it taught me the importance of hitboxes and good controls. #365games

6/18 - Lemmings
Despite my love of adventure games, I was not a big puzzle game player. Lemmings, however, dressed up the puzzles in something so charming I just couldn't resist. There was still some action involved, and some of the levels were devious. Still fun to go back to even now #365games

Josh has been running a blog called The Comics Curmudgeon for a very long time! Crankshaft is one of his longstanding subjects, so seeing I would imagine he'd be interested to see what it's creator is up to!

Perhaps some of the old Graeme Base books like Animalia or Eleventh Hour?

I had the "silent" version originally, but did eventually get to play the full talkie! Even unvoiced it was still excellent.

6/10 - Day of the Tentacle
I was a huge adventure game fan and loved the original Maniac Mansion, but DoT felt like an evolution of the form into something greater. The art, the humor, and the puzzles that required thinking across time and space made this an amazing experience. #365games

6/6 - Mario Kart
The game itself did everything most of Nintendo’s SNES games were doing - showing me entirely new takes on things I knew and upping the fun by magnitudes. But more importantly, it was the game that got my dad into console gaming. Cherished memories. #365games

The Aughts were toxic as a culture because we put all his kind of childlike glee and wonder and enthusiasm under the cringe umbrella and we've never really recovered.
He kinda gave permission for grown folks to kinda keep that joy and we really fucking need that now.
