Can we pick a name? "Bob" seems like a good fit!

Which one?

Nah, for something like this I'll need some crack, you got a hookup?

Too weak. Need edibles.

Still there's been some disappointments Nine Sols - Still not able to put my finger on why exactly I'm not clicking with this one. Is it souls fatigue or fatigue from long games in general? Lorelei and the Laser Eyes - I enjoyed the vibes, but the UX is just bad. My kingdom for a back button!

Let me clarify, when I said snap aim I meant specifically like what's going on in Metroid Prime. Not the aim assist you're referring to which I also find invasive and annoying as you say.
comment in response to post
I don't know what to tell you, I didn't personally like it. I found it to be more of an impediment than anything else and would have preferred a snap lock on. I didn't like the way I had to hold my hand steady to aim right (I've got shakey hands due to reasons I won't get into here).

Specific games for Steam, I don't remember. It was on by default in a number of games and I really only remember that it was more a hindrance than a help. For the Switch, only games I recall that used motion input significantly were Mario Odyssey, Zelda BotW, TotK and Skyward Sword.

Some steam games before I turned the gyro setting off on the Steam controller and Switch games with the standard joycons. Both annoyed me. I prefer a quick button press to some of the functions they were requiring of me. Or a mouse if it's related to aiming.

I don't have a problem with it existing. I was just being hyperbolic in my initial post. I wouldn't read into it too deeply. I was expressing my frustration that paddles (a relatively simple upgrade to the standard controller) still isn't a standard is all.
comment in response to post
I think we're just having two completely different experiences with this stuff. I've never been able to get used to the bloody thing personally. Mouse is more comfy. Better muscle memory for it.
comment in response to post
Might be me being a product of my time, but motion controls have always been a liability for me. That aside, if I need accuracy, I just use a mouse. I get that for console users it's not much of an option though and my point was more that paddles should have been the first thing they added.

To be clear, I am not advocating for piracy. If a game is available for sale, buy it! However, if IP owners refuse to meet us halfway and make their games available, they can't go crying to the government when people choose to pirate their shit instead of paying outrageous collectors market prices.

I can't take the credit for it, sadly. I think it was Yahtzee Croshaw who said it years back when he was trying to express what it was like getting picked up by the Escapist.

I've seen clips of people playing it every now and then though I've never had the pleasure myself.

It's like throwing a message in a bottle into a sea that's entirely composed of messages in bottles.

They reset continuity more times than Marvel and DC combined in the Armoured Core series. AC6 is pretty much its own thing. Really the only similarities are the mechs and the general themes the narratives work with (corporate power, greed, dehumanisation of the worker).
comment in response to post
They did a survival horror game called Kuon for the PS2 too. It's one of the creepiest games I've ever played.

Armoured Core VI is one of the best games of last year and you should definitely give it a go. Soundtrack in particular is wonderful. Earlier games are... An acquired taste. A taste that I have not yet acquired sadly.

There are a lot but none of them hit the spot for me quite like the From Soft games (except Dark Souls 2, that one can get drive a car into a lake).

You cannot protect them forever, they must be allowed to make their own mistakes, waste a bunch of money and cry about it in the shower. It's the human experience.

Wasn't considering it. I'm no audiophile and onboard audio on motherboards are good enough for practically everything these days.
comment in response to post
Yep, though thankfully everything else I use just works with it. Plus I've got an AMD GPU so I'm not suffering with the nVidia issues most others have.

Heartless monsters. Hoping Valve's investment into Linux will pay off. I distro hopped a little bit and liked it, but I ran into issues with refresh rate, screen flickering and a twinge of multi monitor issues.

I'm legitimately surprised Microsoft didn't put it behind a paywall (or was it ads?) like they did with Minesweeper and Office. Doesn't change my feelings on windows though. I despise this OS with all of my being. Problem is, Linux won't work right for me.

"Streamer" feels like a strong word. I prefer "man who occasionally streams when he feels like it and uses terrible MS Paint art for his scenes and avatar".

Bigger problem for me was the parrying. I'm awful at rhythm games so I was missing 99% of the time. As for the stealth, I just used that sugar candy that makes you partially invisible and ran past them all haha

I'd recommend it. It's not super heavy on the gameplay side and quite short so not a huge time investment. Plays like an interactive and vastly more Scottish Jordan Peele film.

Second hardest boss for me after Defiled Hotdog was Isshin in Sekiro. I usually use all the tools the souls games give me to get by (summons, consumables etc.) so Sekiro was a big spike in difficulty for me and Isshin kicked my ass for 4 days before I ended him.

Oh it becomes super noticeable when you do the chalice dungeons. Some of those bosses tank it HARD. Speaking of chalice dungeons, fuck the defiled chalice. That flaming hot dog can suck on a tailpipe.
