Poet, short story & mystery writer, dabbler in audio storytelling with too many pieces "almost done." Love walking, my dogs, my husband & family. If I say I'll "probably be there," I mean I'm staying home, in pjs, watching British TV.

P.S. "steal your soul cold" would be a great line in a poem!

I'm not a winter person. But, somehow, this one felt like a relief. But that's "felt." Past tense.

I think my mom subscribed to four different Harlequin series at one time. She did a steady trade at the used bookstore, trading the series she had for the ones she didn't. Years and years, she did this.

My mom subscribed to the Silhouette series. I remember these (and other series) arriving to our house in the mail every month.

And yeah, more people should get over here and start participating. The fact we can create our own algorithms, though it takes a bit of work, makes this a better choice.

Hey! Yes, I took early retirement to become a full-time writer. Doing more events, five coming up in the next couple of months. I'm definitely working on something, but no publication date to report yet-watch this space! Hope you're doing well!

I was not prepared for how much having bird feeders was going to mean to me at this age.

I've made some attempts on FB. But not many have traveled over, and some of those who have aren't big posters. So, it may take us a while!

Right? Been hard to find many. If we could just get the gang over here, we could start building Starter Packs, sharing, so on, and then we'd have a shot at some community. It may take a while. Meanwhile, finding prose writers I could never find elsewhere has been a breeze.

At the risk of exposing my lack of thoughtfulness, I hadn't thought of it this way. This actually makes me feel a little hopeful.

Can't fit them in parking spaces, can't keep them in their own lane. We live in a low income area, so I shudder to think of the debt people incur to get them.
