Whenever we drive past a “Caution Children” sign I shout “BE CAREFUL” very loudly at my kids. They’re 13 and 10 now so understand it’s a rubbish joke.

Either they don’t know how to lead, someone is preventing them from leading (opinion polling or similar) or they have no positive vision. If it’s option two then they need to root out the people blocking the brave decisions.

He’s not just for Christmas…every day he seems to be on three different programs.

I just asked my 13 yo son who’s at a Grammar School what they get taught about AI “we can use it but we have to modify it to make it better”. Cue talk about sources and checking facts from me. I know from searching for specialist info in my field that the AI search/summary tools are woeful.

Attention to detail a requirement?

Not to be too Zen but if they decide not to take action then that’s still a decision. Sometimes you need to say what seems obvious out loud. Or create a deadline if possible. It’s v. far from ideal and can be impossibly hard for family when they’re stressed to have the bandwidth to deal with it.

Once they feel personally linked to a decision they seem more able to push more towards the right result.

The phrase I find useful when dealing with SW for family members is to get someone to say “I am responsible for the decision” even if that decision is NFA. Then press with “given its NFA I assume you are happy that you’ve taken all actions your risk assessment has identified”

We know about your silly little mistake, it would be such a shame if it became public…

They have been spending lots of money entertaining MPs of all stripes the last few years. I wonder if attempting to influence parliament via this route is treated as seriously as a bunch of no-marks putting a stupid bet on.

For the sake of a smooth delivery let’s hope the new arrival doesn’t have purple prickles all over their back.

But we picked the cheapest price from the tender, how can it possibly not work?
