How long before King Trump announces he’s introducing The Purge as a new public holiday?

Can anyone explain why, on phones and iPads, it’s no longer possible to export docs as Word from Mac’s Pages? Says it is, but it isn’t. They come out as png files.

Found one thing I want on the Record Store Day list. So there’s that.

Sainsbury’s have just asked me to review a bag of shopping. I did a few days ago. For fuck’s sake!

Just discovered that although I can record an interview on my phone and store in the Notes app, it’s impossible to extract the audio afterwards. One is supposed to be able to save to Files or share, but it just doesn’t work..

So, having clamped itself onto the TikTok nipple, what’s the music business gonna do now?!

Apparently Andrew Loog Oldham heard Pet Sounds and spent £26,000 and three weeks making the debut album by unknowns he’d plucked from the demo tape pile, David Rose and Andrew Skinner, pka Twice As Much. It’s very good Brit psych pop that never gets mentioned.

You don’t think Elon Musk had anything to do with the TikTok ban, do you?

Currently reeling from this goosebump inducing performance on an old Morecombe & Wise show by, erm, Jackie Trent. Wow. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiHe...

Say Nothing on Disney is really good.

I’m listening to The Ventures playing Hey Jude. Works.

It’s not often mentioned that Jimmy Savile had a brief recording career with Decca records. His 1962 debut was called Ahab the Arab. In this, the protagonist sneaks into the sultan’s tent for an illicit liaison with Fatima of the seven veils “cos they had a thing going”. Shudder.

Good haul today. The Jazz Messengers album is a hidden gem.
