Certain stuff plays better with a crowd. Like the end where the music just plays forever. At home it's just there. With a crowd there's this odd, "What do we do?" Do we leave? Sit and wait for... what? The awkward builds to such a good group laugh.

I think production was just looking for all the shots they could to keep it interesting. The minute they cut to a closeup of his Oscar and then panned up to his face I thought, yeah, they're just trying to think of new shots to break things up.

I did the Moby Dick "podcast" reading of the book. The only frustrating part was one of its selling points: diff usually famous people each reading a chapter. The problem is I would connect in with the tempo and reading of certain people and then the next one would be someone that I just couldn't.

I went to see it the day my mom called to tell me she was going to die. Went so I could hide and be a kid w no troubles for a couple hours. Scene hits where his mom tells him she trusts him to make the right choice. I thought, she's a good mom. Then I was the weirdo crying in Speed Racer. Lol.
