Mail call! Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy

That time the Black Cat's black cat killed a crook.

Crossovers I'd Like To See: The Golden Age Black Cat and Golden Age Wonder Woman meet and compare notes on how many times they've had to save their boyfriends.

When the 3 A.M. phone call could've been an email.

[Ed McMahon voice] "Hiyoooo!"

I want an archival quality collection of Lee Elias' Black Cat comics so bad. Maybe @fantagraphics.bsky.social could do a "Lost Harveys" series?

It was nice of Black Cat to agree to wear yellow gloves on this mission so that she, Captain Freedom, and Shock Gibson could be known as "the Golden Gloves Gang." (And it's cute that the kids have started their own "Golden Guns Gang.")

I really like this Girl Commandos opening page by Jill Elgin, especially the way the dead Nazi's arm drapes over the top panel's bottom border.

Black Cat, noooo!

Forget that emerald archer, the Scarlet Arrow is where it's at! Just check out that fabulous costume!

Two pages of Frank Miller's original art from Ronin #1, as presented in the Gallery Edition from Graphitti Designs.

Time to go big in my Ronin re-read.

Some more Black Cat opening panels by Joe Kubert from Speed Comics #31, 33, 37, & 38.

Looks like the color of Black Cat's boots varied for a while. I guess Linda was just a fashionable crime-fighter and wore whatever color best fit the occasion!

I know it was wartime & propaganda was in high gear but it's still weird to see Black Cat smiling cheerfully as she guns down Nazis. (Even weirder to see children involved in active combat. Look at the little girl in her collared dress lobbing a hand grenade, & that boy shooting a Nazi in the face.)

Just a couple pages in on the Alter Ego TPB and already learning things relevant to my interests: I never knew that Joe Kubert drew Black Cat stories in Speed Comics at Harvey!

Mail call! Alter Ego: The Comic Book Artist Collection, which collects Alter Ego V.2 #1-5 which originally appeared as flip issues in CBA #1-5.

Metamorpho #6 was an absolute blast. Thanks to @al-ewing.bsky.social and @stevelieberart.bsky.social for the wild ride while it lasted. Hopefully we'll get more fab freak fun in the near future.

I forgot that Marie Severin drew a Batman parody written by @tytempleton.bsky.social for Batman Black and White Volume Two.

Imagine if Andrew Garfield had faced off against this version of the Lizard in the 2012 Amazing Spider-Man movie.

Another collage of character heads by Marie Severin.

Female comic characters by Marie Severin.

I love @mitchoconnellart.bsky.social's wraparound cover art to CBA #19 featuring all the Harvey Comics characters partying.
