I was a sw lead for a large govt project for over 30 years. We did 3 code conversions over my tenure. Fortran -> ADA, ADA -> Java, and Java -> C#. Each took a minimum of 3-4 years with many reviews and testing phases. No way can they do this in that time frame.

All parties on that thread should be brought up on charges. We do not know the full extent of the classified data spillover and deaths could occur. Their indifference to security is outrageous.

Can confirm! 2 former congressman held townhalls in Idaho and when presented w/this data the crowd was shouting for more information and wanted links to the data to share with family friends neighbors and most importantly to hold their electeds accountable. Empowering voters with data is the way.

In spite of not much advance notice, these town halls were well attended! Folks at both events were hungry for information and WANTING to do something.

Domain expertise is vital! Email definitely shows they have no idea what they are doing with the BLUF statement at the bottom! Think TLDR!

I was a SW lead for a major DoD project. Newbie coders can’t make extensive changes given the timeframe unless there were zero sw standards in place. Changing code requires bug reports, reviews and approvals. Our build process took 8 hrs and install another 6 hrs. This was a hijacking.

So what does Senator Cotton think of Trump swooping in and saving TikTok? Still his hero?

I spent one year leading a team of engineers working the issue. In addition to debugging all the y2k problems, we also spent time testing everything. It was the most satisfying project I did as a SW Engineer.

The Reuters article detailing this data is below. I’m not quite sure why there is such a discrepancy between your graphic and theirs. Will have to read your write up more closely. www.reuters.com/graphics/USA...

Every DoD software project at a minimum is at least twice as expensive due to his actions. He caused and is continuing to cause so much damage.

Lack of basic understanding of science appears to be present everywhere.
