As a kid, I was fascinated by the 60s and wished I had grown up then so I could do my part to protest against injustice and the war. Now, I’m getting tired of signing petitions and protesting, constantly feeling like it’s not enough. Rights, equality, equity, & peace shouldn’t be so hard to accept.

Tonight I took a bachata lesson. It was easier than salsa, and everyone was friendly and supportive — even at the dance party afterward. My favourite dance still is the Brit rock bounce mixed with some hand movements that represent imaginary glowsticks. Unfortunately, those moves aren’t in Bachata.

I took a salsa lesson once. Afterward, we stood in a circle and had a dance party. A guy asked me to dance and immediately returned me to the circle. “I’m sorry. You are so bad at this. Lot of great signs out there today too, I regret I didn’t get a picture of my favorite but my hands were full with my own sign. It said “The only king I believe in” with a hand drawn picture of Hank Hill on it. Pure chefs kiss
