I save bits and pieces everywhere. Scraps of paper, I text myself scripts, I sing songs on VoiceRecorder, there’s poetry on gum wrappers. Darnielle’s interview may inspire me to do something with some of them. I loved hearing his creative process. Even at 7, he was brilliant.

It’s most definitely no one’s property but the sea creatures’, and claiming it as such is going to provoke global issues, both environmentally and politically.

The people who claim to be in favor of families are clearly not.

I’ve made frozen banana ice cream (so good esp with pb). How does one make sweet corn ice cream?

I hate them. Instead, text me something interesting like a funny reel or a song I should listen to or something I didn’t know you. Niceties are dreadful. Even my interactions with strangers have substance.

In the minority here, but I would rather sleep peacefully til the last possible millisecond than to ever be woken up a second before necessary. #zzz

This is the only thing that gives me any faith in AI. I don’t know if it could have rebranded Jesus in a more ignorant way than humans did.

AI sometimes gets it wrong. The more it’s reused and seen as correct, the more likely it will rewrite history and “be” correct.

Nice. I see influences of Chagall.

I do a good job of going off-trail on my own. I don’t think I need AI to get me on the wrong path any sooner.

Devil’s Garden in Escalante was really nice!

That’s lovely! The one in Italy has such a small opening. There are only certain times of the day when it’s safe to enter. I did it, all of us leaning in the gondola to get through the hole, but this looks like a friendlier version.

I will post it soon! It was in Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, and it’s a rather pathetic tale.

It was lovely. Refreshing is the right word —except for the day I was alone and lost. Maybe I’ll post about it.

I was barely allowed through security in Venice because I had underwire on my bra and here you are with tenths of an ounce of actual contraband. Rebel.

God forbid someone opposes a genocide. Suddenly they don’t deserve rights. How did we get here?

But it will continue to cover vasectomies, I’m sure.

This is sweet. I tell my friends that I love them (which confuses the men sometimes). Life is short. Gotta be sure that people who matter feel that they matter.

Reading all of the one-upping comments on this post is stressing me out. A lot of people have a career in ransom note writing.

I don’t think anyone who wants a monogamous relationship cheats on their partner period. A discussion about what both consider cheating to be is important though. Oh, and dump this one.

It sounds like he plagiarized Zoltar from Coney Island.

Top center: a savior or a rockstar
Top left and right: either bandmates or people worshipping
Bottom right: a happy man staring at
Bottom left: a sad and hopeful green-eyed person, who is looking at him or maybe the world, probably the world.

Nell was not the wisest choice for a double date movie when I was in 8th grade. (& yes, I picked it out.)

Chills reading this. Jimmy Carter knew that in order to prevent war, you needed to communicate, sometimes with people deemed unworthy, even if that made him look bad to his party and country. In the end, we don’t resolve anything by ignoring the real issues. Bombs won’t resolve them.

Iranians have been oppressed since 1979. Recently, they used social media to protest. Is the U.S. going to target “weapons” or people? I worry that Islamophobia and anti-American sentiment will grow and for all of us around the world who point to our leaders saying, “It’s them. We don’t want this.”
