I love the ideal of democracy too much to go anywhere else. Opposed to a party that enables and normalizes authoritarianism. Travel. Books. Friends. Nature.

This is your regular reminder that executive orders are not royal decrees. Because America has no king.

Grandpa Don is big mad after a Fox News poll found he has the lowest 100-day approval rating of any president. SAD!

Today is Day 12. Still 0 deals.

Let's wake up. He's REALLY unpopular for this early in a term or really ever. President's this unpopular are already losing. Power becomes harder to assert when your power is fading.

Jake Tapper: "One 60 Minutes source tells me, 'The lawsuit was baseless. Bill Owens wouldn't apologize. He wouldn't bend. He fought for the broadcast and for independent journalism and that cost him his job. It's shameful.'"

Marriott’s CEO said it straight: “We welcome all… we create opportunities for all… that’s who we are as a company.” He went back to his hotel to find 40K emails from Marriott associates worldwide saying “thank you.” Plenty of CEOs talk. Capuano showed up. Marriott still has my business.

*Of course* advance information on US combat operations is classified. Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this. The Secretary is unfit to lead.

I'm going to post this video every day so we never forget what Trump did.

Nothing to see here but Florida's royal family laundering public funds into the royal family's campaign slush fund. www.tampabay.com/news/florida...

Here is how WaPo handled Dem's 10-day long effort to count every vote in PA vs. GOP's 5-month long effort to throw out thousands of votes in NC. Support independent, pro-democracy media.

Dear Decent Human Beings in the Military and Law Enforcement, If you are ordered to violate the Constitution by this president, please disobey. The millions who served, suffered, and died before you deserve your courage now.

Why can’t Trump, Vance or Rubio simply say this? Why won’t they?

Great news, everyone. A surveillance company started by Peter Thiel is part of the hackathon playing with our data at IRS. www.wired.com/story/palant...

An innocent man, picked up by “mistake,” must not be allowed to rot in an El Salvadorian jail. Mr. President. Obey the courts. Obey our Constitution. Bring him home immediately.

I happen to know that some powerful media orgs were unhappy that AP filed suit; they thought the conflict with the White House would blow over on its own and that AP risked making bad law. The AP's leadership deserves a lot of credit for having proceeded as it did. apnews.com/article/trum...

Last time he told you not "not to worry" half a million Americans died of Covid.

It is still very weird to me that there are people who were like “nah, he’s not going to do this exact thing he keeps saying he’s going to do that is contained in a 900+ page manifesto that he and his friends have been working on for four years.”

WOW: Thousands are currently protesting in Boston. This is just one of more than 1200 'Hands Off' protests underway today across the nation as people rise up against the Trump-Musk regime. (via Rob Way)

I’ve interviewed a lot of victims stayed in an abusive relationship because they worried their loved ones would judge them for not leaving sooner. They needed support and they knew they would get ridicule instead. And that’s something I’m thinking about a lot in this political environment.

There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers. Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

you have to be genuinely stupid as fuck to think american companies are going to respond to tariffs by building factories and moving manufacturing to the US. i don't know how else to say it. you have to be genuinely braindead

It’s weird* that the president can just decide to put a huge tax on American businesses without congress even being a little bit involved. * very unconstitutional

You don’t have to live in a big city to attend today’s Hands Off! protest. There are a lot of protests in small towns and suburbs across the country. Find one closest to you here:

Actual conversation with a client this week: Client: “We want access to North American markets, so we were thinking of a US, Canadian, or Mexican plant” Me: “Makes sense. You’ll want to assess country risk” Client: “Well, Canada seens stable and Mexico is improving on a lot of fronts.”

Tell me again why we’re letting a 78 year old, legit smelly, odorous, frail, loser old man who bankrupted a CASINO bankrupt the country? Congress? Any answers?

Hey, I wonder if there's any economic news today. I'll check out the website of America's biggest news network--Fox! Phew. Nothing's up! Biggest news in US today is a very nice Christian woman was slapped for no reason after sticking a camera in a stranger's face & calling her a baby killer.

We put tariffs on an uninhabited island full of penguins but not Russia. Very normal administration we have here.

Carney: The system of global trade anchored on the United States.. is over. Our old relationship of steadily deepening integration with the United States is over. The 80 year period when the United States embraced the mantle of economic leadership… is over.

America, you f**ked up! She warned us. She had a plan that would have benefited everyday Americans. But too many ignored her—because it was never really about the economy. Now folks are scared, struggling—and we’re cooked.

I'm watching CNBC. These anchors are so angry. They really didn't believe he'd do it. They're actually just now, 10 years into this shit, realizing he's a maniac hellbent on revenge and there's no grand plan for the markets. Better late than never but holy shit.

BREAKING: The Department of Defense Inspector General has launched an investigation into Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for sharing secret attack plans against the Houthis using Signal.

Big Law firms and partners have choices about whether to capitulate or to stand tall. History is watching.

Yes, the stock market may be tanking and our national security apparatus has never been more vulnerable and we're on the verge of both economic collapse and war, but it was all worth it to keep pronouns out of email signatures.

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory. Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

Congratulations to Judge Susan Crawford on her victory, and to the people of Wisconsin for electing a judge who believes in the rule of law and protecting our freedoms.

This is what happens when people speak up.

This was….five months ago

Raskin: Would it be problem for it to be standard practice to conduct sensitive foreign policy on a signal chat group? It just came out that Waltz’s team set up 20 signal group chats for crises across the world… I’m sure this will raise the question on whether he should continue in that position

If I was a judge and a DOJ lawyer filed a brief saying "yes, we mistakenly shipped someone with a right to be here to a foreign gulag but you have no power to order us to bring him back" I'd put that lawyer in jail until that person was brought back.

Chucking in on Senator Cory Booker on the Senate floor 5 hours+ into his filibuster. “America, we are not doing a good job right now.” Nailing it! 🔥

He wore the cheesehead hat in WI. Spent $20 million. Paid people to sign petitions. Paid people to canvas. Did million dollar giveaways. A rally. TV interviews. But I guess people in Wisconsin didn’t appreciate an oligarch trying to buy their civil liberties.

Records are meant to be broken. Congrats @booker.senate.gov for stepping up and standing up for the American people. Blazing your own path for the W 👏👏👏👏👏

“Marine Le Pen, the French far-right leader, was found guilty of embezzlement by a criminal court in Paris on Monday and immediately barred from running for public office for five years.” www.nytimes.com/2025/03/31/w...

Spelling and grammar are woke.

Raskin: I call on my colleagues to take down the wanted posters with judges’ faces on them outside of offices in House office buildings
