It’s the only tactic that works on screen-fried people. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Social media destroyed everyone’s brains. If the left has to be sensationalist to get people engaged, so be it. It’s not for you, obviously. AP/Reuters are still fine and reporting on this well.

Big “the bobs” energy. More VC bro tactics; the US Gov is not a start-up ffs.

Report all of those accounts that liked the post too. Engagement bots to push the comment up. Mod filters are working thankfully but not fast enough.

Dems need to embrace #2A and campaign on it now. Don’t get duped by the polling, steal their voters and bring them into the big tent. No more purity test BS.

Read the room, @wired.com. Nobody on this platform wants to touch oligarch owned/operated trash. Touch grass instead.

And in theory, the mods could easily build an r/RVA feed on Bluesky and really run with it.

Agreed. Additionally, parts of Henrico County that are essentially dingleberries on the city limits also are devoid of sidewalks, making the overall picture more bleak.

Was this followed by a golden shower? Did Lutnick wipe the orange off of his lips? So much for a merit based government.

the most patriotic salute the hardest!

The thing is, they know that too. Does not matter as long as the enemy is crushed. The enemy to them is the “deep state” that took their dreams away. It’s nihilism, with the only winners being oligarchs somewhere.

Far too many. Online astroturfing aside, out in the real world there are plenty of people unapologetically thrilled with him right now. All about crushing their perceived enemies (libs, brown people, poor freeloaders)

Totally normal! Nothing to see here.

Wait until they privatize Fannie May and Freddie Mac. My 3.9% is going to the grave with me.

They are likely very concerned though!

A major catalyst was WW2 - the US rapidly invested in technology for the war effort and beyond, which adversely opened Pandora’s box. Our capitalist system has no cap for scale, and to sustain it with plummeting birth rates…in comes cyber-libertarians and automation. It’s feudalism for us full stop.

The power that We the People have to stop this is simpler than it seems: reject their platforms, products, and put your money where your mouth is. GDP is the KPI they relentless pursue, and that lives/dies by our hands. Precisely why they want to automate your jobs away.

Musk was not red pilled overnight. He stood by patiently and waited for the right moment to insert himself into the only path to power he has in our government as a foreign born citizen. You saw the rest fall in line - this is a technocracy coming down the pike. A very anti-intellectual one.

Our government that is currently being dismantled allowed this to happen - years and years of willful decisions to not regulate, break up, or curtail big tech. Their lobbying power corrupted both sides of the aisle, and public opinion. Lina Khan was simply too little too late.

I don’t blame the far-right for having thin skin with this stuff - they know their fate in history and will try anything to slow that process down. The man her ideology stems from was strung up and desecrated in public by his own people, along with his mistress.

Don’t stop there people - Amazon, Google, X, TikTok, gigtrash apps… all are net negatives on society and your health. Shop local, consider alt search engines (Kagi), PiHole, VPN etc. Antitrust/data privacy is never going to happen again - we are the final resistance.

Depends on the moderation, which one could suspect is questionable on there - planting seeds into echo chambers is what the right has been doing for years. It certainly works when it can have effect. I’m not sure I’d put my real identity on there…

That’s how I felt watching him descend down his golden escalator a decade ago. Now, I probably look more like the Toxic Avenger. I’m tired boss

It looks like my main account was part of some exodus made in error by moderation. Lots of people were rogue suspended with no explanation. Based on the limited resources behind Bsky, I’m assuming it’s long gone. Ai probably runs moderation 😭

Hey Paul, I got suspended yesterday with no notification as well. @666cilian.bsky.social I use VPN, perhaps that burned my account? Really bummed since it felt like a shadow ban after I built up a base.
