I have a hard time justifying the use of LLMs based on their development seemingly being less about benefit to people and more a pursuit of making VC money, and the enormous energy use and ecological footprint that pursuit is creating that again does not benefit people. Money ruins everything.

Anil’s right. I fundamentally can’t stand AI, but that’s not going to make it go away. It’s not going away. It’s been shaped by the most uninspiring, KPI and MRR chasing chuds and that definitely needs to not be the case. I dunno what the answer is tho because good people (rightly) hate AI 😭
