Well, Russia did invade after over 20 years of provocation by the USA and the NATO countries. So, yeah, Russia went to war first, after 20 years of telling us that was what it would do if we did what we did. There are no clean hands here.

I believe it was the Democrats who went "Stolen Election" after Trump won the first time and they had to cook up the "Russiagate" fairy tale.

The one thing you can be sure of is the Democratic Party will learn NOTHING from losing to Trump twice. All their failures were caused by Russia and stupid voters who just don't understand.

Gosh the leader of the USA talking to foreign powers! I may come down with the vapors!!! Wanna put on trial all the people who took money from Israel? This is Democratic party propaganda spun through the media. IF IT HAPPENED it's meaningless.

There are a lot of Democratic talking points and "intelligence community" utterly unsupported allegations. Stop and ask yourself HOW they somehow interfered with our politics. The GOP tells us the immigrants are stealing the country and the Democrats say it's the Russians. They're both lying.

True, but it's also true that the ones who want this world have been in the minority AT LEAST since Reagan. And they've been winning steadily since then too. We (the USA) are not a Democracy in any sense of the words. "Majorities" don't matter at all.

Zelenskyy looks fine as long as you ONLY listen to propaganda from Ukraine or the US Democratic party. Honestly if you look at anything approaching reality Zelenskyy sucks!

We have zero evidence Russia changed a single vote and a MOUNTAIN of evidence showing exactly how Israel changed our government but you blame Russia?
comment in response to post
I'm sure that's what you were told. But all the "investigations" turned up a couple of liars working for Trump and charges filed against 12 Russians that will NEVER see a US courtroom. And in the end, zero account of HOW Russia might have had any effect on the election.

I never bought into the whole "Russiagate" story from the beginning. It was all a propaganda scheme to make Americans see Russia as "The enemy". It's the Democrats version of the Republican's "illegal immigrant" ploy. Yes, Russia stepped back and let us destroy ourselves (and Europe). Why not?

I believe these are called SLAPP lawsuits. They're filed by wealthy parties to silence poorer parties because they can't afford the legal fees.

Possibly? Sometimes? Is it Thursday already? Because of the way bluesky works and my limited knowledge of it I have no idea to what you're referring. Lil' help? Any tips on finding out what a comment is responding to would be appreciated.

You were doing fine until you had to throw "Russians" in there. From what I've seen here in the USA the Russians seem to be quite busy fucking up their own countries and have thus decided not to get in the way while we fuck up ours.
comment in response to post
Please don't go down the Russiagate side! The US spent 30 years trying to get a proxy was going with Russia. They got it. We lost. Frankly if Trump can end it that officially makes ONE AREA where he's actually the lesser evil compared to Biden/Harris.

Yep. In my opinion this is where Trump crosses the line into "Coup" territory. It SHOULD have been a laughable as the Jan 6, 2001 coup attempt but since so much of what SHOULD have been the "checks and balances" have just laid down before him or wandered off this is actually a serious threat.

She talks a good game but the first thing she did on taking office was to put Pelosi back in the speaker's chair. The first thing Pelosi did was implement "Paygo" meaning NOTHING the Left wanted would get done. Same old game. Say what the voters want to hear then DO what those in power tell you.

The USA has ALWAYS been the enemy of Democracy. We won't tolerate it within our borders and how many have we attacked to keep it from spreading there? The "Banana Republics, Vietnam, Cuba, Afghanistan, Iran....

For years I assumed every driver of a car with one of those fish stickers was out to kill me.

We got Trump because Americans were too cowardly and too misinformed to vote Green!
comment in response to post
Oh yeah. This is very much a "A rising sea lifts all YACHTS" situation. They don't really think about the people who don't have boats in the first place.

The first time I heard "COPaganda" I thought it was perfect! Sorry. Typo or an autocorrect on the first one.

The first time I heard the term "propaganda" I thought it was perfect!

I keep seeing versions of this post and I don't understand. The USA has ALWAYS been the opponent of Democracy. We will not tolerate it inside our borders and we're hostile to it wherever it springs up in the world. Vietnam, the Banana Republics, Haiti, Cuba, Iran, we HATE democracy!

I think when a Democrat promises one thing and then walks away from it he's supported by "Blue no matter who". When a Republican does the same thing he's apt to run into some version of the tea-party. It's a matter of how the voters respond to each and it's not the same.
comment in response to post
In the first place, I think you'd have trouble defining what a "Democrat in name only" means. They haven't stood for ANYTHING as a party in my lifetime and I'm 65. Secondly, that's how the Tea Party Created the modern GOP. Meanwhile the Democrats went with "Blue no matter who". Guess who won?
comment in response to post
Well, BOTH parties receive their funding via billionaires. We're an Oligarchy.
comment in response to post
That gives one explanation for the phenomenon but does change the fact that the phenomenon exists. When the GOP doesn't deliver a "Tea Party" movement springs up to get rid of the faithless. The Democrats just double down on "Blue No Matter Who".
comment in response to post
Not true. The "Liberal side" SAYS they're "treading lightly" but in fact what they're doing is telling their supporters to "Piss Off!" as they never had any intention of doing anything like what they promised.
comment in response to post
We're just missing the "great idea" part of it.
comment in response to post
That's hysterical. America has been "now on the side of dictatorships" since....what...the banana wars? Certainly by the Bay of Pigs. Absolutely by the time we started crushing democracy in Vietnam. Remember when we backed the Shah of Iran until that blew up in our faces???

My Garmin watch keeps saying "I REALLY think you should start breathing now! Okay?"

America has been the arch enemy of the "Democratic World" since at least Eisenhower. If this is really the first time you've seen us presented that way you've been asleep for a very long time.
comment in response to post
The Democratic party has had zero capacity for self analysis or self criticism for decades. They're only go to plays are "The GOP cheated!" and "The Voters are so stupid!!!" They can NEVER say "Well we're fucking useless when we're not fucking evil so maybe we need to change just a little!"

A Joe Biden campaign donation ad I saw in 2020 has me pretty much convinced we just went through 4 years of Weekend At Biden's and never knew the difference.
