Take Raheem off, Jorginho on, move Rice up front centre with Trossard out wide

What made Twitter grow was Retweeting, but interaction changed when a Like button was introduced. So hard to find good follows when people don't crop up in your timeline. People who followed you over there don't know you're here either. I'd encourage people to repost good stuff as a civic duty! #FF

The Papua New Guinea Courier is in rare form.

We’ve lost a lot (personnel wise) this season but MLS and Nwaneri have made this squad bigger and better.

A single Wind Turbine produces 32x the energy it takes to build. Infinite energy and infinite money too. All the Government has to do is build them.

John Prescott’s coffin has arrived at Hull Minster for his funeral. Appropriately, the hearse was a Jag, as is the family’s car. A knowing wink you suspect. Two Jags to the end.

Word of the day is ‘matutolypea’: extreme grumpiness in the morning. From the Latin ‘Matuta’, Roman goddess of the dawn, and the Greek ‘lype’, ‘grief’. Put them together and you get ‘morning grief’.

Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this. Smashed records. Curtesy of Garrett Roberts.

When the concept of VAR was first mooted I liked the idea of experts with technology to advise on terrible decisions. It seemed unfair to refs that they had a split second and maybe a bad angle, while millions at home saw instant replays. But how can VAR, and assistant VARS, be this bad/mad? 🧵

This goes quite strong. www.skysports.com/football/new...

Not a conspiracy theorist generally but if Michael Oliver can make a red card decision that poor and VAR not ask him to review, then I can only assume there is something fundamentally rotten in the state of PGMOL.

England might think it's in the eye of the storm. But here's the radar picture from 8.30am from Met Eireann. 715,000 without power. winds of 113mph recorded in Galway.

Wow

Yeah, it's gonna take a lot to beat this for best advert of 2025. Sol Campbell - what a legend! 😂😂😂

This was a joy; do have a listen on iPlayer. I could chat with @michaelrosenyes.bsky.social for days.

Today's blog on yesterday's 1-1 draw with Brighton, the penalty decision, the second half performance, and how reinforcement this month is so important. Have a read. 👇

Bizarre incident for the pen. Not sure I’ve ever seen a penalty awarded quite like that. But also a poor second half from Arsenal. They looked tired - short of energy and ideas.

I think that's a very generous penalty for Brighton, but that was a very tired second half performance in which we really didn't create anything. I understand why, Brighton had more time etc, but we had so little on the bench and it again hammers home the need for January business/reinforcement

OMG, it is fitting.

It’s the time of year for mentioning one of my favourite ‘untranslatables’. ‘Poronkusema’, in Finnish, once denoted a distance of around 7.5km, which is roughly how long a reindeer can last before needing to urinate. ‘Poronkusema’ means ‘reindeer pee’.
