If Marner had left Matthews open to score the winning goal, Leaf fans who hate him would have clamored for his being traded, yet they are silent when Matthews is the one in the crosshairs. Not saying Matthews isn't great. He is. I'm saying fans who hate Marner are lousy judges of hockey ability.

The Heritage Foundation grew from ashes of the John Birch Society. The JBS published a pamphlet attacking Canada back in 1970. Co-founded by a JBS lecturer, Heritage simply rebranded discredited Bircher philosophy. The pamphlet reads like a transcript of a Joe Rogan podcast.
