Must share unintentionally insensitive comment from MAGA mom. “It’ll be so good to see made in America again. Maybe your husband can get a job with one of the companies that come back.” My husband received a significant pay cut because he works in foreign aid. I’m sure he’d love making trinkets. 🫠

Can the federal forest lands be granted to the state of Colorado? Squatters rights, since the U.S. govt isn’t caring for these lands anymore? JK… but seriously, what can Colorado do to protect federal lands and how can we make it state park land?

It’s almost as if he used a 19 year old to code a spreadsheet to see which countries export more than they import. Well, no 💩 it’s the countries that can’t afford American goods or services but offer cheap labor to export stuff to the U.S. that get the highest tariffs. That and stupid penguins.

You mean he threw a tantrum because he and the rest of the man babies couldn’t find another way to keep women out of leadership? Oh trust me Speaker Johnson, that won’t stop us, plenty of us are done getting pregnant, but have loads of experience dealing with man babies.

Exactly! I had a moment of realization last week. My mom said, “It’ll be so nice to see ‘Made in USA’ on products again.” 😵‍💫 People don’t understand how the economy works.

Ug…I don’t understand why you think I’m making an argument. I’m stating it’s both the design of suburbs and digital culture. Please stop trying to argue about something I think we both agree on.

Great example ⬆️. I never insulted your intelligence, you insulted mine. I said the word, “church” as an example of pre-digital world socialization and you told me I was wrong…churches are abusive. I agreed with you and tried to explain. And here you are on my feed continuing what, exactly?
comment in response to post
You’re talking about ppl like me who don’t go to church because it’s not the same loving church I was raised in and whose parents harp on her for not going. Still, I am not going to waste my time arguing with someone because, oh no, they said the word “church” as a forgone place to socialize.

Thank you. I support D&D!

Condescend much? I agree with you, but what I’m saying is that suburbs also prevent ppl from socializing as much. Farther from neighbors, not as many socialization activities, the end of forced social activities like church (good or bad, don’t care how you look at it). More screens, less real life.

Okay, but could you say this less condescendingly? You make a valid point. I’m saying that suburbs don’t present many opportunities for socialization and they were built at a time when social activities were changing. And now we just go home and watch TV. I think, also a valid point.

I’m not saying church is a good thing. I’m saying it was a way for people to socialize back in the day and that hasn’t been replaced with anything else. This platform is full a bunch of exasperating ppl who want to provoke arguments. I could say the sky is blue and somebody would argue with me.

Right?! Man…there are a ton of know-it-alls intent on starting an argument up in here.

Why are you yelling at me? We’re saying the same thing.

I’m not pro church. I’m saying that when church was an expected activity, people had a place to socialize. We haven’t really rebuilt that place to socialize. That’s the problem with suburbs. People go home, close the garage door, and never socialize outside social media.

I don’t think anyone intentionally built suburbs to isolate. IMO, the breakdown of family units, in which jobs aren’t avlbl in your hometown so you move away + the decline of church and social clubs and the rise of TV hasn’t been good for American mental health. I joined a Rotary Club 😌.

I don’t have kids, but, if you ever go on Nextdoor, you will certainly see someone scold someone else for letting their dog run around unsupervised in their own backyard…a dog. This is the society we live in now. Children cant problem solve anymore and dogs are neurotic.
