I’m saying we’d be spending 30mil+ on players who can compete with Hall/Livramento, and even then I would think those players would want to go to a club with a greater guarantee of minutes. How much would someone who can compete with Isak cost?

Man City play more matches, and can afford to pay a much higher wage. I don’t think many decent fullbacks are going to see a clear path to first team minutes with Livramento and Hall at NUFC. Likewise a true 9 (if Isak stays).

If we don’t get those 3 first team players what is the point of having Paul Mitchell here? I imagine it will be more difficult to sign players who know they won’t be first choice, especially if we don’t have Europe

Botman’s absence has been absolutely devastating. Burn and Schar held up ok for the first half of the season, but they’re fading badly now. Criminal that we haven’t signed a CB in the last 2 windows

Yeah, he’s got to be frustrated by the lack of games. You’re right, they’re probably trying to force him to accept a move in the summer

He’s very much 6th in the pecking order. If we keep him it will be because of the homegrown squad rules.

Also, Lewis Miley man. Aside from taking his goal superbly, he had one play on the touch line where he looked trapped and easily found his way out of trouble. Incredibly impressive. #NUFC have an 18 year old academy product who could genuinely become one of the best midfielders on the planet.

I feel like Nathan MacKinnon might have something to say about this…

We’re in a better place than we were at either of those times, but I agree. What gives me hope is the midfield, 2v3 and one of their 2 is Gundogan

Has Foden ever had a bad game against us?
