It’s also not clear if Adam Ahmed’s use of the term ‘militia’ is in reference to the Afghan Local Police (ALP), which were the actual US-backed militias during the VSP program. He does not mention ALP, but the caption of the image is an ALP member.

That’s going to make for some hilarious out of context skeets.

Sounds like a lemon. But if it weren’t painful and limited, would anyone value life? Or would it be an indefinite prison?

Former Green Beret here and proud that liberals allowed LGBTQ+ service members to serve openly. You meet the standards, you get to serve.

Yeah I think it’s a ‘wait and hope’ kind of situation. But *I think* it will be better - at least in the short term - than Assad.

Yeah, but I don’t expect a thriving democracy. HTS is an Al Qaeda offshoot.

Democracy in Syria with HTS? 🤔

Russia’s pretty much doing the same - even made gains in Romania. I think a closer look is the pressure against Iran…

That would have to get passed in congress. With razor margins, pretty hard to target veterans benefits.

I don’t know how that would happen. Most claims have to be evaluated in-person by a physician. The MDs are contracted and trained to write their reports in the context of the CFR disability requirements, so either the doc says you meet the standard or you don’t.
