It’s funny you post this. We used to joke that junior lawyers should bring their toothbrush *whenever* they appeared before Judge Alsup. He sets a high standard for preparation, candor, and strict compliance with his orders. The DOJ filing seems to lack all three.

This could not go to a better judge in N.D.Cal. than William Alsup. If Trump’s DOJ and minions thought D.D.C. Judge Reyes gave them a hard time for dissembling in the trans servicemember case they’d better get ready. Judge Alsup demands preparation, candor, and direct answers.

Merit? The man Trump plans to nominate to replace Brown doesn’t meet the minimum requirements to serve in the position. The only reason he’s getting the job—if he can get a Congressional waiver of normal standards—is because he’s a white man who’ll do Trump’s bidding.

At one point, we counted 53 brown bears. At another, I was within 20 yards of a mother bear with four cubs, one of which rode on her back.
