This is especially important in light of @jamellebouie.net's post today. This is explicitly an effort to re-segregate science. There is no reason these applications couldn't have been considered in the regular pool - the criteria are the same. bsky.app/profile/jame...

Yeah I agree, the ability to manipulate AIs to present the world as the creators wish is alarming. For a perfect example see Baidu's new AI which denies the Tianamen Square Massacre ever happened.
