*partially quashed, I guess, but this was a Durge playthrough, and I didn't want to miss Durge-specific content

I had the exact same rollercoaster ride of disbelief.

This post is inspired by the time a friend sent me a link to a YouTube video that was an hour and a half long with the message: "Interesting!"

More to the point, imagine a world where you've embraced generative AI to do writing for you, to make your art, and to give you information and data -- and then Elon Musk one day buys it, and now feeds you what he wants you to know, what he wants you to BELIEVE, every time you ask a question.

Do journalists not know how to ask a question without coming off as an idiotic asshole? If it's obviously not a yes or no question because the answer is obviously yes, why ask it as a yes or no question? The only stupid things here are the framing of the question, and defending that framing.

I'd try and talk to Swen Vinke from Larian Studios. He's pretty opinionated about game production and his studio approaches it very differently than the major studios.

Also, it always makes me think of Hbomberguy's video, "Climate Denial: A Measured Response," where after showing Ben Shapiro saying that people will just sell their houses and move if the land they're built on floods permanently, he says, "Sell their houses to who, Ben? Fucking Aquaman?"
