you're making a good point about fetal stage, but doesn't fertilization happen when a sperm cell enters an egg cell and they form 1 cell with diploid DNA (vs haploid of sperm and egg). Clock starts running then. So how can 10th week of pregnancy be 8 weeks after fertilization?

the particular post I was responding to was something about clownfish, and then mentioned gender. The specifics of my response to that post was that clownfish have nothing to do with gender. Should have expanded to say also nothing to do with homosexuality. I'm well aware of the stats you cited.

I don't recall saying anything about homosexuality

Yeah, hyenas have evolved in a way that differs from other mammalian species. But they are not intersex.
comment in response to

your other post which did refer to mammals appeared to be more about same sex sexual behavior.

Doesn't really say anything about gender, just shows that in some species individuals some individuals will undergo changes from one of two forms to the other as a result of environment/social factors. Doesn't happen in mammals.

Is that it has been a policy for so long it is now considered historical. SABV is standard practice.

The original post on this was deceptive. SABV is standard operating procedure at the NIH now, has been for 10 years.

You're right that the discourse has gotten absurd. I don't normally think about things in terms of motte and bailey. 100% agree with your two things can be true statement. I made a comment today, no one wants to look at entire picture. Each group has their favorite trees. ....

Is that the policy has been in existence for a long enough time (10 years) that it is standard procedure. So I don't quite get the concern that SABV in research will disappear.

No, I did notice that. The text shown looked like what I have seen before. I couldn't quite figure out what the post saying we were going back to some dark age was talking about. I did notice date. Searched a little bit about being listed as historical. What I found (taking a few approaches)..

Sex as a variable has been NIH recommendation since 2014. Still is. Now considered to be a standard practice. I don't think the wording has ever been different than is now on NIH website.

Seems like both sides of this argument are missing the entirety of the picture. Or put another way, looking at only the trees they favor at the expense of really understanding the composition of the forest.

Not sure why you would call them super women. Definitely female, but only thing you could call super is that some are a bit taller.

People with Kleinfelter's are not super women. In fact you'd probably u[set someone if you told them that. They are XXY, so have Y chromo, develop male, considered to bee a male genetic condition.

Be quite different conversation about variations of sex development without gender and culture warring.
Will say that legislation about sex typically does not account for these people.

Hard to argue with this graph that compared to pre 2013 the only group that shows higher attrition now is academy, and that group was the only one that showed a spike in 2013-2017. It is interesting that retirement has decreased. In discussions of this would be interesting to see active cntrlrs.

Doesn't have anything to do with sex, or any discussions of biology related to sex. HIV is a viral disease, and cares little about identity.
