If you're on testosterone gel, there's a big recall right now, so check your lot numbers. www.transvitae.com/strides-reca...

SINNERS is perhaps the first movie I've seen to recognize the deep, supernatural evil of Irish step dancing

I get why people are freaking out, but this is the logical extension of a worldview that demands things go Back To How They Were, and that Nothing Ever Change because Change is Scary

It’s time to share the truth with the world. The reason they don’t talk about trans men in toilets is not because you’re an ignorant fuck who doesn’t read shit, it’s because trans men don’t pee i’ve never peed i’m in the toilet right now but I’m pretending

A couple additional announcements about which I am ENORMOUSLY excited for DC PRIDE 2025 as we sprint to our print deadline this Friday (and FOC next monday!! by the way, if u even care!!!) 💖

"Talking to strangers in public" was fun and all, but Bluesky has yet to approach this level of greatness and I doubt it ever will

it’s very comforting to know that Americans actually are the stupidest rich-country voters, in a weird way

Current Mood: Menaced By A Bald Eagle Who Lives In The Trash (from this book! Get it!)

Posting as confirmation that I am not the worst Jude in publishing

I eventually reached the point where I accepted that some people would imagine they knew everything about me before we ever met, and I managed not to take their Head Jude personally. But it's really disorienting, seeing yourself referred to as a consumer good, and you can get sick from it.

just read Be Not Afraid #1 by @judedoyle.bsky.social, Lisandro Estherren, Francesco Segala and @simonbowland.bsky.social ...one of the best new horror comics i've read in ages. chilling writing and terrifying gothic smalltown imagery hurry up and add this book to your pull list! FOC is today

Subtweet: I saw someone post a really high-level analysis of how Men and Women are both equally disadvantaged by The Gender Binary, and the problem with that analysis, as the writer demonstrated, is that it leads you to equate "millennia of institutional rape" with "rewarding your boyfriend w/ M&Ms"

I'm ALSO 90% human-like but nobody gives ME credit for that do they

Today is the last day I can bother you to pre-order my comic. I'm sure we'll all miss it, so ICYMI, here's a nice essay about where it came from: jude-doyle.ghost.io/be-not-afrai...

If a horror comic about a horrible kid with supernatural powers who gives people cancer & puppets the corpse of his grandma for shits & giggles appeals to you, then you need to preorder @judedoyle.bsky.social, Lisandro Estherren, Francesco Segala & @simonbowland.bsky.social's BE NOT AFRAID.

"Wheel of Time," the famously accurate TV show where every woman living in the Middle Ages has access to a makeup artist who can whip up a smoky eye

I was so psyched that we got Harding for a cover. She did one of my favorite covers for MAW, and this is once again so beautiful and creepy that I feel humbled to be part of the same project.

💪🏼💕 in bookstores now, get it

This has been reported since at least the 2000s -- both straight men & straight women think the "most attractive body" for their gender is much skinnier and more jacked/curvy than the body their potential partners rate as most attractive. Also, everyone thinks they should be doing sex differently.

*deep inhale* OK FINE The idea that progressives need to "appeal to young men" by making it "OK" to embody trad machismo buys the lie that this gender presentation is under attack, rather than belonging to the most powerful people on the planet, and a being a precondition for power in most places

This is as far as I got before the gag reflex kicked in

DISCOURSE POST: You can avoid the vast majority of Discourse by realizing that most people, fundamentally, want to be told that whatever they're doing is okay, and that whatever problems they might be experiencing are somebody else's fault.

read issue one of BE NOT AFRAID by @judedoyle.bsky.social, lisandro estherren, francesco segala, & @simonbowland.bsky.social — you HAVE to snag a copy for yourself. dread has been a big part of doyle’s work for me, and here, it is palpable—it is heavy. very hype for more of this. FOC is TOMORROW!!

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the JUDE is kept safe. (Proverbs 29:25, NIV)

Tomorrow, 4.28, is the last day you can pre-order BE NOT AFRAID at your comic shop. Pre-ordering does a ton to boost overall sales, so I hope you will. To entice you, a newsletter about John Dee, Ed Gein, nuclear angels, and writing a comic to decide what God is: jude-doyle.ghost.io/be-not-afrai...

So, using the power of AI, we've managed to replicate the experience of being a tween using AOL chatrooms in 1994

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Turns out this man was fine and just wanted treats

In the 2001 hit "13 Ghosts," Matthew Lillard and F. Murray Abraham play ghost hunters, and we learn the reason for the title when Matthew Lillard says "you only contracted me for twelve ghosts" and F. Murray Abraham shouts "yes, twelve... plus ONE MORE!" which is indeed the definition of "13."
