I always liked my friend's idea for tattoos: magical (or chemical, depending on setting) dye's which modify the hair follicles, causing the fur in tattooed regions to naturally grow in specified colours.
Means it'd take a little time for the tattoo to "grow in", but will then remain permanently

I genuinely use GIMP lmao - tried others but I have quite specific needs. Also got a pirate copy of Photoshop around, but GIMP is my general-use one for editing things like mask layers (it has SUPER easy controls for splitting and editing R/G/B/A layers, whereas Photoshop does odd stuff with Alpha)

If that's a question-mark on "Hammerspace", it basically means the character is bigger on the inside. Like - they can fit huge stuff inside them without stretching much. Goes for both vore and hyper stuff.
The otter side of the community calls it "Otter-space" but it's basically the same thing.
