That, and the lecture I gave them about a human being’s right to water, food and warmth and why all utilities should be nationalised.

Parakeets are increasingly clever. The thinner ones can get their beaks through the cage to the feed. This one though, filmed a couple of minutes ago, was too fat - presumably from feasting on other, less well protected feeders. No pigeons though, thank the lord.

There’s also concern here that Ukrainians are using the S visa as a holiday visa - coming and going as they please. Anecdotally, I haven’t seen a Ukraine number plate in my village for about 6 months - and we’re next to a Ukrainian reception centre.

Just ordered Forest Brotherhood. It’s never too late to learn from history. Unless your name is Donald J Trump.

One of mine sings with that choir. The director and one of the soloists are also ex-London Oratory. Much as they complained about singing when they were teenagers at school, they still love it, even into their 30s.

Oh wow. What a place to hear that. Maybe Colla Voce could bring it back to CZ one day.

How wet did you get? We’re at 60mm so far today, nowhere near as bad as feared thank goodness. I hope your conference went well ✅

We are expecting 100mm of rain in my corner of Switzerland today. Wellies and a sturdy umbrella required.

It’s not a sorry thing. You feel rubbish and it’s fine to share that. I hope you feel better soon.

I made some wonderful real life friends in the nearly 16 years I was on Twitter, having joined December 2008. Those people I can still interact with and see in your actual real life. The rest, I will only *miss* one or two.

We eventually took off two hours late. This is kind of normal for LHR now. My sister who left Frankfurt for London by train today did the same distance more quickly. A lesson for me right there.
