A gift from our English rellies

It's a special kind of hell watching bake off when you can't eat sugar

Out of control art desk but loving the painting time

Another quick painting finished - stinkhorn on bark with bluebottles in the garden

Finished died shirt- bar one splatter due to insufficient stirring I'm very happy with the result

First attempt at dying clothes

Been using a glucose monitor - to my horror milk is a major sugar spike culprit for me - bye bye flat white 😭 #diabetes

The world is a bit awful so spreading joy. I’m selling small artworks for $25 incl p&p in NZ. $32NZD for overseas. Artist grade mixed media supplies. Some are pieces where I’m testing ideas, combinations. Comment sold then DM me. “I’m there”. Fabriano paper. 11.5cm sq, approx. 15mm white border.

Your ADHDictionary: 26 key terms about neurodiversity explained. Really nice resource. metro.co.uk/2025/01/23/a...

Excellent thread - also recommend some of Alec Partridge's podcasts - the interview on adhd and substance abuse is excellent #adhd

Can HIGHLY recommend Safe Surfer as a solution provider for folks with kids/teens with smartphones and other devices. They have done so much hard work to partner with tech providers to make it happen. Bonus: They're an NZ company 🇳🇿🇳🇿 safesurfer.io

Testing a glucose monitor and it is weirdly fascinating #diabetes

Feels particularly relevant today

UM, I had NO idea facebook was tracking everything I did on the internet. EVERYTHING. I have diligently blocked and followed all ways to try to stop this messed up social media from taking from me, but this is the final straw… THESE JERKS! AGH! [screenshots on how to do it in the comments]

Favourite so far

Professors Linda Tuhiwai Smith, Tom Roa and Rawinia Higgins: three of NZ's most illustrious and highly regarded experts in mātauranga Maori will not be re-appointed to the Waitangi Tribunal. This is a significant loss to the nation. www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360...

Really informative thread

made me think of hapū & iwi orgs who spend (& have spent for decades) an inordinate amount of time, effort & money preparing for Waitangi Tribunal claims, a multitude of local and regional council ~things~ plus submissions and consultation feedbacks to Parliament. all largely unseen by us non-Māori.

Regulatory standards bill feedback done. I'm currently organising public consultation on a regional waste plan - it would never be acceptable to schedule this over a busy holiday period 😡

FFS just put the heat pump on

I scored a huge rimu desk from a friend today - ideal for painting and craft
