Anyone arguing for Trans Youth should know enough to have an immediate rebuttal to the Olson-Kennedy article. Instead Lovett capitulates that point to Maher. He wasn’t transphobic, just ignorant. Not the right person for this specific discussion. It’s exactly what’s happened with the sports debate.

Response to the motion to dismiss was originally due from Plaintiff on Feb 21st; however during a conference on January 31st, the Defendants have agreed to a 6 month extension after the disclosure that lead attorney (founding CMP partner) Ron Miller was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Brain Cancer.

He actually just sent Children’s Hospital of LA a letter putting them on notice of their obligations under state anti-discrimination laws yesterday. If they don’t reverse course in the next few days, I expect AG Bonta will proceed with legal action. oag.ca.gov/news/press-r...

If they put it in action, it falls along the same lines as what’s currently happening with the GAC ban preemptive compliance. The EO isn’t law, and states like California actually have State Laws that prohibit Anti-Trans discrimination, so State AG’s will threaten legal action if they comply.

She's not wealthy enough to be insulated from the harm of this administration. Recently she was forced to settle a defamation lawsuit Eli Erlick filed against her. Also, most of her net worth is tied to Texas property. A state which (along with Florida) is worst in the nation for Anti-Trans laws.

Funny enough we just might be! My dad's family moved to the Bay Area in the late 50's, but he was born in Brooklyn.

Sadly it’s been happening for as long as we’ve existed, but most of civilized society has banned gay/trans panic as a legal defense.

A legal defense that’s banned in the most civilized and decent states of our union.

For those wondering about Camille Kiefel’s reinstated 2022 lawsuit against her psychiatric providers, a Trial Readiness Hearing resulted in a 1/9/26 Trial Date for an 11 Day Jury Trial. However, this case faces its own Defendant Rule 21 Motion on 1/24/25 that Plaintiff would have to defeat first.

You really do. My biggest regret of 2024 is not having been able to see it in a theater. It’s not only a great piece of Trans Cinema but a true testament to Vera Drew’s craft that she was able to Iron Man this masterpiece.
