AppLovin stock took a hit yesterday after two short sellers accused them of “Ad Fraud,” “fake activity,” and playing a “smoke and mirrors game” with their latest e-com push. If you’re in Ad Tech, you know these allegations are totally misleading. fuzzypandaresearch.com/app-stock-me...

Microsoft has unveiled Muse, a generative AI model developed in collaboration with Ninja Theory. Muse can generate game visuals and predict controller inputs by analyzing extensive gameplay data, demonstrating a deep understanding of 3D game environments and physics. This is BIG for gaming.

Apple will launch View-Through Attribution (VTA) for Apple Search Ads in March 2025. It will be available in the Ads Attribution API. VTA helps advertisers to track conversations, regardless of whether a user clicks on the ad or not www.appsflyer.com/glossary/vie...

This week, Google Play introduced 2 new metrics in Android Vitals, directly impacting app visibility and rankings: → DAU/MAU ratio: measuring user engagement and retention → User loss rate: tracking uninstall rate and churn

AppLovin earnings just dropped ... any surprises here? If you're in Ad Tech, absolutely none. AppLovin has been the top performing network for the past 2 years, always scaling with amazing ROAS. They also announced they're selling their whole gaming portfolio for $900M to focus on Ad tech.

With the latest dodgy moves from Big Tech / social media giants, we’re seeing a shift to smaller and more independant platforms. - Users moving from Insta / X to Blueksy - TikTokers coming to Substack - DeepSeek #1 in the App Store - French users moving from Spotify to Deezer

Great example on how fast things are moving with AI. Last week, i posted an article about AI App Wars, showing how ChatGPT & Gemini are leading the way. This week, DeepSeek is released, and getting high on these AppStore rankings - with only a very powerful model, and good PR.

Just spent 2 days at PocketGamerz London, and what an event! So nice to meet folks from the gaming industry, hear what's up, and also i had the chance of presenting! More on this soon... I've missed these kind of events ☺️

here, have some fish from 2002

My latest article is about the AI App Wars. While ChatGPT leads in the US, GoogleGemini is making waves in India. Why? Local preferences and multilingual support. Strategic regionally targeted campaigns. Focus on affordability and user-friendliness. Regional strategies are key to win here.

Hey there! Let me (re)introduce myself & Neo Ads, my little passion project. ✨ I talk all things Ads, mostly about Mobile Apps & Games. 🔮 I explore current trends and make predictions about where we’re headed. 📬 I send out bi-weekly digests with Ad Tech updates. ✍️ I also write articles regularly.

Watching all of this unfold from Europe is wild

this whole thing seems so dodgy

🌍 AI App Wars: Deep Dive in a Heated Race. ChatGPT dominates in the US and Europe. In India and LATAM, it’s a whole different story. Big players and scrappy underdogs are making bold moves. Find out more here 🔗 neoads.substack.com/p/ai-app-war...

Riot is not done with Arcane yet. I've seen many articles about how the show was unprofitable for Riot Games - i disagree, as it's still super early to define. And Riot also seems to disagree.

The risk for Meta is to be submerged by hateful content, and users leaving the platforms looking for better alternative. Some advertisers might be willing to switch off budgets too, if their core audience leave. Might take a while to affect them, but this is prob the worst move from Zuck.

Any good co-working spaces or coffee shop where i could work from in London?

Risks: • Feels shallow, lacks real substance • Floods platforms with junk content • Undermines the effort and skill of real creators • Chips away at user trust • Could be weaponized to spread misinformation

Just got a Kindle and was shocked to see ads on it. You pay for a device, pay for books, and still get ads?? Companies are getting ridiculous with this. What’s the impact on user experience and satisfaction? Short-term profits vs. long-term loyalty. Knowing this, I’d rather buy a different brand.

One of my biggest resolution for 2025: Play more games

I started playing games again this year and realised how much i've missed it

My fav mobile games this year: - Infinity Nikki - Brawl Stars - Monument Valley 3 - The Sims 4

Almost 2025, and “top voices” lists in mobile gaming are still mostly men. Women and underrepresented groups are driving this industry forward but often remain “invisible” or not out there enough. Time to change that.

Mark Zuckerberg has a clear vision for AI in ads: “Over the long term, advertisers will basically just be able to tell us a business objective and a budget, and we’re going to go do the rest for them. We’re going to get there incrementally over time, but I think this is going to be a very big deal.”

2024 taught me that sometimes you need to leave Apple to think different.
