Not very good Jedi reflexes if he needed Qui-Gon to tell him that.

That's me with the drink, but knowing that I'll need to pee during the best part of the movie (but I can be fine working 8 to 10 hours at work).

Having seen how we treated Reconstruction after the Civil War, I think we're just going to wish it away.

I appreciate you Senator Warren, but with the threat of tariffs and other inflationary measures, the Fed should not lower interest rates right now. Trump and Congressional Republicans can act to help families (lol). As we've seen over the last few months, lower fed rate isn't helping mortgage rates.

I may be an American, so my opinion may not count for much, but the UK definitely needs to be in the EU. However, I will say that it needs to be much more difficult for it to leave again. No more special privileges like it had before: adopt the Euro and integrate more with the EU economy.

Somehow, Trump returned. Elon going all General Hux.

It was also quite local too. I think some of Lucas' original inspirations for Palpatine were based on Nixon who had only recently left office when he started writing it, and by the prequel trilogy had manipulative politicians like Newt Gingrich (of whom Nute Gunray is quite closely named after).

I don't know, sometimes I'd rather deal with the countdown clock than another escort mission.

Thisvid is probably the site I go to the most, but there's a lot of nasty (literally) content on there to filter through and a lot of private videos where you have to be friends with people to see the videos.

Given climate change it's kinda hard to find a place that looks as survivable as Chicago. Sure the cold sucks, but it doesn't last all that long. At least we should have consistent access to fresh water, and less likely to have hurricanes or wildfires.

Let this white boy say that Star Wars has always been woke. Lucas especially during the Prequel Trilogy wasn't subtle at all about his political commentary (though some of the toxic fandom still ignore it).

Welcome! And there are so many ways to experience it. Comics, Books, TV series, video games. Definitely don't limit yourself to just the movies!

Grindr used to be somewhat decent for hookups, but every time I go on there lately I'm like meh. Didn't help having a customer stalker at work messaging me on there (and of course no pfp so never knew who it was)

My big issue with TikTok, which applies to Facebook, Youtube and other social media companies is the lack of transparency on how their algorithms promote harmful content (whether it be hate speech, dangerous pranks, or other bad content). TikTok owned by ByteDance is more difficult to regulate.

This is why I try to avoid friendships at work. I get along with people don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day I'm there to work, do my job and go home. Also helps that for years now I haven't really had any coworkers I've been attracted to lol

Unfortunately justice has failed us every step of the way with the wealthy and powerful. It has failed us with Trump many times (his coming "sentencing" will be another example if he gets off lightly).

Don't know how many times I've been burnt in Baldur's Gate 3, thinking I had an autosave, only to find it was like 20-30 minutes ago after a wipe in a fight. Now I find myself quick saving so often, and sometimes doing manual saves on top of that.

I mean, I'm the nerd that would recommend operating systems to people. And Windows 10 actually might be one of them (though it's at it's End of Life). Windows 11...not so much.

About the only truthful thing that came from Trump was how corrupt the media was, but it was projection because they weren't corrupt against Trump, but rather for him. Been realizing this more and more since 2016.
