A college professor showed this to us as well as so many other significant studies ( Stanford experiment ) in a social service program. It was the only place I’ve ever seen this video. It’s time to start showing it again

Okanagan college had appealed to the BC government to approve mass staff changes above union limits. My heart breaks for higher learning

Oh that is painful to read. Algonquin college just cut 37 programs. I think each PSI is cutting programs without collaboration with other PS’s which is completely eliminating some programs in a province. There will be no masonry programs or hairdressing in Ontario, even though both had wait lists

That is a solid plan!! Enjoy

Are you Ottawa area? I just checked and it’s close. Do you follow Connor Mocket? He breaks down the snow report and has been putting out warnings all day. Meanwhile regular weather channels are quiet

Feel free to dm me. I’m aware of a Canadian study, and I can have it ready for you

To protect others, to protect myself, I follow the health recommendations, I don’t have sick time, and as a form Of protest: we are still in a pandemic

Protest not protect

We are all interconnected. It’s not just the US. The environment, the food chain, human migration. The US is poison right now, but it will impact us all

I got my Ontario taxpayer rebate cheque (cough* bribery election cheque) today. Like the free plate renewal, I’d gladly put that $ right back into healthcare

Yes, it’s so discouraging

I work in a post secondary, in the disabilities office. 3/100 staff mask. No one speaks about Covid, ever. Long COVID should be on our intake forms to screen, it is not. Walking across campus, through all the STEM/HVAC areas… no masking

I love my E bike! 20km to work and back from April- November. I’m not young, and I have joint issues, but if people could try them, see how much $ they would save and the mental and physical benefits, they are an excellent alternative to cars for many

Is it even possible to private purchase the vaccine?

How society/ healthcare has not adopted N95 masks at ALL times in hospitals after the experience of the last 5 years is unimaginable. I can’t wrap my head around this simple act of self care. ( and healthcare )

Still trying here in Canada. Thank you for supporting the community.

I really wish that humans could say goodbye to fireworks once and for all. There are so many ways to celebrate that don’t risk burning down a country, destroying wildlife or triggering PTSD to those who have lived through gunfire and war

ADHD and Fetal alcohol syndrome also appear with similar behaviours in school aged children. Increased alcohol use during 2020-21 and the mini baby booms that happened shortly afterwards, plus kids who have likely 3-4 infections before grade 1, is going to make the next 10 -15 years interesting

I totally forgot about these recommendations. Can you remind me who put this recommendation out? And what the issue is with sperm in that window period? I’m wondering if it’s possibly related to infants not meeting dev. Milestones and also the increased autism diagnosis after birth

An unmasked medical professional in the hospital feels the same to me as if they were lighting up a cigarette at their desk
comment in response to post
Did your team mask? At all my appointments to date, no one is masking. I have no doubt my new hip will be awesome, but I despise the fact that they won’t be masking on OR day
comment in response to post
I’m so sorry you had to leave your profession. I feel like there could be a side stream of health professionals who are dedicated to providing safe medical environments for the public who recognize this need

I’ll be having a hip replacement at the riverside in a few weeks, right after Xmas. Went for pre-blood work and no one was masking. The few who did had baggy blues.

Thank you for this harsh reminder. I agree & I’m still masking. Nothing has changed for me- except that I have lost all my friends since I won’t throw this towel in and join them getting repeatedly sick

I think 99% of the folks I follow are masked folks. You can find some new friends in my list 😷

I’m a masked person!

Same. I presented at a Disabilities conference in May, in an Aura. I was one of 5 masked attendees in 100+ and the only masked speaker

I’m enjoying finding familiar folks I followed in the hellscape and I feel more empowered to reach out more here. It’s peaceful and welcoming
