Spent a good part of last week and the weekend down and out with a diverticulitis flare. They're few and far between but when they hit, oof, they hit. This one was one of the worst. Thankfully I woke up pain-free this morning and I think I'm coming out of it.

One thing I started to do from the get-go here on Bluesky (and I recommend you do as well), set up some lists! I've got one for people I know, one for wrestling, one for technology. It's nice and makes for keeping an eye on topics (and people of interest) easier.

I know the new terminal hotness right now is Ghostty, and one of the claims is 'native' Linux OS integration. Sorry, but no. On my Plasma desktop, it does not fit in at all. Native does not mean GTK. It sticks out like a sore thumb on my desktop. #linux #ghosttty

The holidays have been pretty good to me. I'm off until 1/6, so I have another full week of no work (thank gods for that). Been taking care of things around the house and on top of that starting to plan a few tech projects, including relaunching my blog, Youtube channel and possibly Twitch, too.

The slow migration to Linux continues. I still have some items I need to move from the Windows drive over, but the basics are here. It's not my first go-round with Linux, and I use it daily at work. Once I get justxanny.com rebuilt to more than just a photography gallery, I'll write about it.

Spent the day today working on my office. I re-did my work setup so I have a lot more space on my desk and finally did some cable management on both that desk and the personal computer desk. Hopefully I can get back to Youtube / streaming in the near future.

#Linux has really been a joy to get back into. I was running it as my main OS in the early 2000s, then I shifted back to Windows and used it server-side and work only. Now, I'm back again and I've forgotten how much fun it is to tweak and set this up. Video on my Youtube channel coming soon!
