Totally agree Tony, think the board should support him for longer but realistically, if we don't win it next season then key players will definitely leave. Think the anxiety in the fan base comes from that reality. This would have been a great chance this season, we may not get the chance again

It wasn't the league position that did for Wenger. As others have said, there was a staleness about the team and Wenger himself, severe blind spots about how to play, tactics and weaknesses in the team, with no plan for how to improve.

genuinely can't tell whether they are incompetent (saying the quiet bit out loud) or just super-confident (knowing that noone will stop them anyway).

if you squint hard enough he's spelt out "Send Help" in the sauce.

🤮 they surely have dieticians and cooks who are able to get the required calories and nutrients into him without him having to eat a hate crime.

Just pissed that these riders are dropping down to the Giro meaning he doesn't get a free pass for GC.

You can't write a post about your giant puppy without a picture of the good boy! Unconscionable behaviour

To be fair, they've exceeded the idiocy of the Truss Government, and in way less time. Very efficient.

That last line. "I didn't know the leopard was going to eat my face, but I still support the leopard eating other people's faces after he's finished with me" 🤦

yep, going back to that Roglic/Vingegaard strategy makes sense for them; make Pogacar work earlier so he has less left in the tank for the climb. Think UAE have shored up that weakness though with their support riders, Pog is less likely to be alone early. it's gonna be good viewing. 😎

one of the saddest things about ITV losing cycling coverage is the craft and effort they actually put into their highlights package, you actually get information about the early breakaway attempts, and an effort to create some narrative, not just 10 mins from the middle, ads, skip to last 10km

Same as on any social media, outrage and extreme positions get the clocks. Taking your time to think things through and come up with a reasonable position/solution not as interesting. Arteta goes, we have the same problem as finding a striker - who is out there that definitely improves us?

if you told me contador never rode a TT I wouldn't even argue. who remembers so-so TT riders?

i really enjoyed it, but in terms of the narrative felt it was all over the place, each episode jumped from story to story and didn't feel cohesive.

@robespierrex.bsky.social loosen your belt, these faces are gonna take a lot of chewing.

Really sad about Eddie, was sure that he was gonna be banging them in for Palace.

He's been consistent, but performance not quite hitting the peaks of last year, where he was often a game changer as a sub.

You can officially retire, nothing you can do will ever come close to this.

I could see us pay £100m for a striker, don't think it would be Isak though, if they were going to do it

Would have loved to see him at Arsenal, but not at that price.

I guess "owning the libs" is a universal game for all the family, not just MAGA.

Of all the mad things about this election, the thought that Trump would be better for Palestine than Kamala is by far the maddest.

Kind of feel we are looking at the wrong upgrade, board seem to be looking at an upgrade at a Saka level, we just need an upgrade from Sterling level, keep the cash to get the Saka level in the summer.

What a line up. 😍

It's gone beyond our fan base as well though, I've seen countless other fans of multiple clubs saying it. Things that stick tend to do so because they resonate beyond the immediate context and reveal a truth. The smug, self satisfied hubris of Haaland perfectly matches that of his club.
