I will absolutely stop to pet lavender and then smell my hands whenever I see a lavender bush I can reach.

I know I do, I'm just worried if the client does!

The difference with a Cadavre exquis is that we are both fully aware of all the content as we are creating this comic, and the cadavre hides the previous input of artists before the last. It really is a full conversation between us, with drawings and written words! I heartily recommend trying it.

I would love for "director" job suggestions to actually be specific to the animation industry

When the day job is drawing, I can't relax with it outside of work. But I'm still itching to create, so I will often turn to textiles to scratch that itch. I can knit with needles but I suck at crochet, and knitting looms are both easy and a challenge to do unconventional things with. I love them.

Hi Roo!
Sorry, I'm not taking commissions at the moment due to both lack of time and tendonitis in my elbow. That may change in the summer. I will announce here if/when I do.

Where are the female showrunners in your list?
Also your Weisman bias is showing ;)

Anyway. Go watch Saving Me. I really loved being part of that show, and seasons 3 and 4 are in production right now. I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes.

And this is where my, "Be patient" comment comes from. I feel like Saving Me really set up the, "the stakes are big but let's start small" kind of idea, but viewer impatience means the clues aren't getting picked up.
This is also not helped by the binge watching model, but that's another rant.

This commentary made it clear that the reviewer expected to get the big answers very quickly instead of letting the story develop crumb by crumb. Personally, I prefer the slow burn, build-up kind of story because it gives you a lot to chew on and speculate about. And that's part of the fun.

The thing is, he didn't give the show a chance to actually lay its foundations. He didn't see that it was a setup to a bigger, longer story. He felt the stakes were too small, and that the results at each episode were too little and didn't explain the status of Old Bennett's world.

The back pocket closes with velcro; the big pocket comfortably fits his laptop and the front pocket has slots for pens, wires and his fancy mouse, and is big enough to include his tablet and a book. It's sturdy yet light, and can be rolled up or folder to be tossed in the duffel bag.

It is a curse, really. There is so much started with the best intentions in my sketchbooks and hard drives... and house, if I'm being honest.
