That feeling when Prince Bonesaw is acting in better faith than Trump and Putin.

So, Mr. Prime Minister @donald-tusk.bsky.social , we need leadership right now, where can we get it?

They try to play the game, asserting themselves a little but without angering Trump or Trump-liking voters at home. But we need some bold moves from Europe now, or we'll just be sidelined.

What is the 5% for if we can't even discuss the possibility of sending our soldiers? This means surrendering to Trump any power to determine what happens. Internal appeasement of far right populists is crippling Polish power to shape crucial events in Europe.

Sure it is. But political game has its own internal logic and some ppl decided it pays to be Ukr-'sceptical'. It worries me...I don't think we can trust our media and politicians to communicate effectively to the public how the situation deteriorates...

For many people in Poland war became unreal again after three years. They don't see how real the danger is anymore.

By 'conflict' I mean such political stuff, social payments for refugees, different views of our difficult shared history, low level stuff that sadly accumulates. Not military conflict, but it hurts economic relationship, there already were blockades of border crossings by far right peasants.

Although a small peasant party led by current minister of defense is getting more and more anti -Ukrainian in its rhetoric. It's mainly about the Ukr community in PL, typical ant-migrant stuff, sad and worrying, but not overtly pro-russian.

When it comes to soldiers in Ukraine, fascist right is against in principle, and the government doesn't go into details, mainly to avoid getting flak from populists probably? Maybe they will revise this stance when the time comes for specific plans.

It's really sad that our Polish populists blackmail mainstream parties into conflict with Ukraine. While we still help in many ways, it's unlikely Tusk will have the guts to offer participation of our troops, certainly not before presidential elections in May.

If there is a negotiated settlement, I think most Ukrainians, and most eastern europeans in general, will know what it means and will begin to flee Ukraine. A settlement is very likely to create a migration crisis across Europe. Which benefits nobody.
