If we, Europeans, fail to spend big on defence now, we will be forced to spend 10 times more if we don’t prevent a wider war. As the Polish PM I’m entitled to say it loud and clear, since Poland already spends almost 5% of its GDP on defence. And we will continue to do so.

Aber wir brauchen eine Bundeswehr, die Deutschland und das NATO-Gebiet im Zweifelsfall verteidigen kann. Und zwar so schnell wie möglich.
But it would help a lot if EU invest in EU made eqipment without a single US made part...
And Poland should stop spending there defence budget in Asia.
Plenty Swedish parts, German etc etc.
One day EU might grow some balls....
;)
EU must stop depend on US, in all ways.
My landlady at university was the widow of a WWII Polish fighter pilot.
A true federalism, with as power devolved to the local level, but capable and effective leadership on common issues like defense and protection of democracy is still hindered by the intermediate stage of 'nationhood' and will remain so.
In the future "Don t be such a Tusk" will be an insult
When everyone says we need to step up, it means you first and foremost.
Poland has the ability and capability to be the leading voice, do it!
Russia and America are joining forces.
Europe needs more nuclear.
Those wankers shall see that we can pack a heavy punch
But our chancellor left earlier because election campaigning is apparently more important than defending our freedom, sovereignty and peace in Europe.
HE WILL USE THAT AS FUTURE LEVERAGE AGAINST US!
Trump CANNOT be trusted - on anything!
Stop talking and let's work
So far Europe looking unable to move beyond the 'moderate' mindset that has UK declaring an 'ambition' to raise spending on its historically small armed forces by a weedy 0.2%.
But yeah our defense economy would be healthier
Luckily for us, Europe has strong economy.
It will be painful for sure but survivable for everyone.
💪🙏
And it always means merciless bloodshed.
Question is: when?

One coordinating alliance
The Tornado aircraft was a cooperation under the flag panavia GB DE IT.
UK and France is not enough deterent apparently.
Poland, Ukraine and spread the technology to smaller nations.
America likes bullying smaller nations. The sooner the better.
3 EU countries have a border with Russia, not counting the Baltic countries. One of them is Poland. The US is withdrawing from the Baltic countries, which additionally increases the problem. And this is also the EU border. Comparing the situation of Poland to France, Germany or others does not

We need both: storage, where weapons hopefully stay unused and weapons to protect Ukraine.
Nevertheless, we need filled storages to always be prepared. We cannot trust Putin, he lies just in that moment, when he opens his mouth.
But you also need to commit forces to post-war Ukraine.
Poland can and should be the pivotal power in Central & Eastern Europe. But you need to lead by example also in terms of risky deployments.
The valid argument for frontline states like Poland is to send LESS troops than Western Europeans.
But not to send ZERO.
Sending zero is a bad signal. It encourages Moscow. And it tells Americans that Europe is afraid.
How many peacekeepers would be needed hmm?
🤔
(for a peace that is unlikely to be agreed)
