I just want to play a videogame for christs sake. It’s been half an hour of this BS.

I did exactly this tonight! Chopped up a chicken breast, finely chopped a carrot and half a courgette and pan fried them, then stirred them into the mix. It were proper spanking gorgeous.

It’s such effortlessly absorbing television. Great acting. Enticing dialogue. Even the baddies are compelling and interesting characters you want to see more of. Fantastic show.

If we win our next game away at Oxford United it will beat even that run of form; I’d have to double check but I think you’d have to go back to 1997/98 for a better run of league wins. Food for thought. #PUSB

To find a better run of form you have to go all the way back to the COVID-19-curtailed 2019/20 season, and our final 8 games of that season: #PUSB

And our best 8 matches in 2022/23, when we made the playoffs: #PUSB

The telcos must have absolutely loved that gravy train, just like dial-up Internet. A demonstrably inferior product which they still charged an insane premium for.

There’s something analogous to CRT displays in how that artwork is rendered in halftone print. A gloriously lossy charm to black and white illustration, lost to time.

Yeah this is about That Guy. I’d like a shorthand that everyone understands which can be promptly deployed the next time Nate Silver or whoever defends his behaviour.

Christ. I’m so lucky I jumped the queue by going private. Good luck! 🤞

The private sector thing is the one I find hardest to stomach. You only needed to have picked up a single copy of Private Eye once in the past 30 years to be disabused of that fallacy.

Question for me is whether or not this is table stakes for modern politicians. Certainly it feels like the other team are better at this stuff. Where are our equivalents to AOC who intuit this stuff in combination with the other skills needed in the political arena?

Honestly our government is so technologically illiterate it’s embarrassing.

Wait Palantir is seriously in the running to provide services to the NHS? Jesus effing Christ, we really are in the darkest timeline.

Underemphasised element of a quality player is their ability to bring out the best in others around them. Love to hear this kind of thing.

The fact he didn’t instantly self-immolate upon uttering the words ‘good faith’ should be taken as proof positive there is no god

Ostensibly ordinary people who go to bat for corporations are the most infuriating category of asshole on the Internet. Bigots are bigots, but these ones genuinely think they’re on the side of truth and justice.

I bought this for our wedding! It was really good. Did exactly what it needed to, and saved me a bunch of time.

Not wrong. Somewhere in the last decade the whole industry pivoted from ‘what problems can we solve that people will pay money for’ to ‘what can we create an artificial monopoly on so we can charge rent’
