So this is a wild recommendation, but Fortnite could have what you’re looking for to a degree. Not the main game but the lego game mode it has. Part of the gameplay involves making and leveling up villages to get building pieces.

You’re not wrong! With fixed camera angles game devs were able to better tailor scares and. With modern games unless the scares make themselves obvious a player can miss them entirely by having the camera angled away.
