Extortion, pure and simple.

If any of our former NATO or Five Eyes allies have intelligence data and assessments, which surely they must, about the background of the leader of their new strategic adversary, the United States, now is as good a time as any to release them, subject to protection of methods and sources, of course.

We kicked holocaust denier Ernst Zündel out of Canada. Why the hell would we let Elon Musk have any claim on Canada? He is a fascist threatening the people of Ukraine. I am proud to be helping drive this asshole from our shores. www.ctvnews.ca/canada/artic...

One of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world just lost $1.4 billion (with a B) to a hack. This is 5x as much as the previous largest exchange hack in history.

Raskin: "It's becoming obvious to the American people that Elon Musk and Donald Trump are not opponents of corruption, they are agents of corruption."

Keep it going! #TeslaTakedown

Thanks to Donald Trump and Elon Musk, firefighters who just finished weeks of around-the-clock shifts fighting dangerous fires were given a note from their Commander in Chief: "Please quit." That’s a hell of a way to say thank you.

When Rupert Murdoch’s rags turn on you …

If there was any lingering question i believe it was just resolved

wait til i tell you that that was me paraphrasing because his actual wording was way funnier

Better not call it a “vaccine” or it might not get approved. Maybe market it as a recreational drug.

Wrote a little something in the mighty @rollingstone.com about #TeslaTakedown. In anticipation of our upcoming second weekend of protests! Join or create an event for ANY day and ANY country at Teslatakedown.com. Download our flyers and background to get informed and get involved!

No, but if you’re looking for one, I am aware of a guy you work with that was indicted four times and convicted of thirty-four felonies.

I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

DOGE is a criminal enterprise to destroy the government to empower and enrich oligarchs. Any news org that uses the term "cost cutting" to describe DOGE is complicit and should be shunned.

Of course. But being the party standing up for those fired will mean a lot to those fired and their families. It will also show the country that they are trying to bring order to chaos. And if they can get any Republican support at all, that's huge leverage for March 14

It would be far less time-consuming to just document when he tells the truth. shorturl.at/tohgb

This is correct.

I have long believed that not enough has been written about how GOP members have felt physically intimidated by Trump supporters. It doesn’t excuse their cowardice, but it still deserves more attention.

Just now picking up my daughter’s Claudia’s Corgi, Gracie, from her spaying procedure from Friendship Animal Hospital in northwest DC. It turns out they are doing something amazing for people victimized by the insane government purges 👉

With all due respect, Congressman, he’s not trying to distract from anything here. He’s a grandiose pathological narcissist. A narcissistic sociopath. A malignant narcissist. A psychopath. A megalomaniac. This is what he thinks of himself. And what he wants others to think of him.

Thank you to @maddow.msnbc.com for promoting @bsky.app on air and complimenting it. Her on air support is truly important

Correct. He’s not capable of playing multidimensional chess. Or chess. Or checkers. Or tic-tac-toe. As one of his aides put it during Shit Show I, “he’s just eating the pieces” on the board. Nothing he does is strategic. He’s purely guided by narcissistic, sociopathic impulses at all times.

Indeed. He’s in the wrong public housing.

This is why you fight these cowards. The moment you stand up to them, they crumble. Homan has nothing. The Fourth Amendment is clear and I am well within my duties to educate people of their rights. He can threaten me with jail and call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else.

“A lot of these contracts have data deletion clauses,” a researcher told me. “The fact is that they won’t be able to reopen them if they change their mind. They’re not just paused. They’re terminated and we’re losing the information.” hechingerreport.org/proof-points...

“The [White House’s declaration to the court] is quite obviously an attempt to retcon the structure of DOGE.” 💯 It’s also gaslighting. And perjury.

"You cannot A-B test what happens when you dissolve USAID. Maybe you save a lot of money for two years or five years or twenty years, and the decision looks efficient. But then a crisis erupts." "Efficiency" does not straightforwardly apply to government.

What a disgrace. Bezos and the newspaper he has destroyed should be grateful that anyone thinks it’s still worthwhile to buy ad space from them. *This* is how democracy dies.

I recently helped the New York Times with blockchain analysis for this story on the Trump memecoin, where more than 800,000 wallets lost money:

Although early reporting suggested the SEC would likely look to “potentially freeze some litigation that does not involve allegations of fraud”, the first case the SEC has proposed freezing is SEC v. Binance: a case alleging serious fraud and knowing violation of US securities laws.

Just discovered that while I was writing yesterday, Adam Levitin at Credit Slips published “Debanked by the Market”, a much longer explanation of something I briefly mention in my piece: creditslips.org/creditslips/... Worth a read, and I’ll add a footnote to my article to link to it.

not sure what's worse about the DOGE site: unsecured databases, leaking of classified information, or these chart crimes

last week i wrote the wikipedia article on Tenrei Ōta, a Japanese physician and inventor of one of the first intrauterine devices en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenrei_... #amediting

Newsletter: Dubbing it “Operation Choke Point 2.0”, cryptocurrency companies have co-opted legitimate concerns about banking discrimination to fight regulation — and Congress is buying it. www.citationneeded.news/crypto-indus...

@molly.wiki You have eyes on this? I’m sure you do. Would love to eventually get your take. www.coindesk.com/business/202...

He’s pathetic.

You’d think that the agency’s name—“National Nuclear Security Administration”—might have led someone to at least ask, “Hey, what do these guys do?”

Just looking at the events of *this one day* compels the conclusion that the United States Government is being run by morons, psychos, invertebrates, and crooks.

Pure corruption.
