Ds need those votes to win, ergo, they have to figure out how to get them. Maga cult is too far gone to waste resources on them.
comment in response to post
They're nit reachable or teachable but the eligibles who sat out 2024 election outnumber Trump's or Harris' voters. THAT'S who Ds ought to focus on. Discover what would motivate them to vote next year and address it.

Actual evidence that party leadership needs to go. That's a comprehensively losing record. They are incapable of doing basic politics and they spurn those who are any good at it.

"Nipples of Venus. Delicious!"
comment in response to post
This is exactly the type of thing Rs would be shouting from the mountain tops as damning evidence of widespread voting fraud... if a Dem voter did it.
comment in response to post
They'd just fire him if that happened and go about their business. Thx maga.

In boxing it's called "taking a dive" when a fighter intentionally loses.
comment in response to post
Yeah, they're ruling instead of governing.
comment in response to post
They already banned anyone that might have asked.
comment in response to post
They're also working on a bill to make 2+2=5.
comment in response to post
Didn't Speaker Johnson just do something along those lines?

To push his tariff cave off of page one. This is SOP for him, create a tableau where he's the hero esp if he can lather it with ppl grovelling at his feet. His cult love this schtick.
comment in response to post
"Imagine if Obama/Biden/Harris/Clinton did such and such" works for everything, about 100x a day. And we know what would happen is the absurd part.
comment in response to post
Needed it today to push "caves on tariffs" off of page one.
comment in response to post
Probably get deported after it if their kowtowing isn't good enough.

People of Praise.

They don't have one either.

Strongly, like has never been seen. 🙄

There's a strategy and if you look at USSR collapse it'll make perfect sense. They're tryn to break our country so ologarchs can divvy it up anong themselves. Like his pal Vlad did.
comment in response to post
Yet.

If nothing chnges, nothing changes. Idt any foreign country should have more political sway than the people that live here. We're the top country economically and militarily. We should be giving orders not taking them.
comment in response to post
There it is. If they're afraid to speak out, even a mild rebuke, then you'd have to be tripping to imagine they'd lift a finger once in office.

Michigan?
comment in response to post
That's not remotely true and it's very easy to look up the swing state results and see that the margin was much bigger than that.
comment in response to post
Do you think someone has to be a paragon of virtue to condemn an ongoing atrocity? Show me the Democrat officeholder that even weighed in on a dozen Paramedics killed in Gaza, recorded on video. No paragons required, just human beings with some compassion.
comment in response to post
In a Democracy we elect people to represent our interests.White ppl elected Trump tbh, not Gaza protesters 57-41 Whites for Trump is why he beat Harris, not Gaza.
comment in response to post
If you're running for office you need to understand the voters' point of view and address it or you'll lose. Having just lost all 3 branches Ds need to understand this basic fact, not blame voters.
comment in response to post
That's why the same ppl that offshored industry are eager to bring it back now. The well paid, unionized industrial jobs that disappeared won't be coming back tho.
comment in response to post
The owner class that offshored industry for low cost labor calculates that with AI and automation now they can manufacture for even less here. The jobs won't be coming back, that's baloney.
comment in response to post
He's protecting industry that doesn't exist yet. The smart way to get there was to subsidize industry creation and *then* apply tariffs once they had things to sell. As is, we'll simply pay a lot more for imports without a domestic alternative.
comment in response to post
But they are your customers if you're a candidate. If the don't like what you offer them you don't get their business (a vote). They "spend" it elsewhere or don't spend it at all. Candidates who don't understand that lose.
comment in response to post
It's an updated "planted drugs" sort of bust. A person doesn't even have to sport *any* tattoos, let alone the gang sort. They can be applied after they're already in custody just as Nazis did in WWII.
comment in response to post
Way to blame the customer for not buying what you offer. Voters had no choice between Trump and Biden/Harris. None of them called razing Gaza an atrocity so the rational thing was to support neither if Gaza was a voter's "single issue." We see it with guns, abortion, tax cuts. But not Gaza, oddly.
comment in response to post
How hard is it to condemn this? We can do it when Russia murders Ukraine civilians. Maybe not speaking up about atrocities isn't good electoral politics after all?
comment in response to post
That'd take courage that none of them have ever indicated they posess.
comment in response to post
Most likely he'd just have to ask and they'd return this man. His Roy Cohn schtick prevents him from ever conceding he fucked up is why he won't.
comment in response to post
Ice may profile and deport you if you make this recipe. Not even a joke, unfortunately. This is what we've become under the guy who announced his 2016 run by defaming Mexicans.
comment in response to post
If you can't see the difference this ruling makes...
comment in response to post
It means he's running in '28 and this was a campaign launch not a filibuster (did not delay any Senate business).
comment in response to post
Is it fear mongering to point out which citizens will be profiled? Take a guess why those "many citizens" happened to be arrested and then released. This creates 2nd Class Citizenship where some Americans have to show proof while others never do.
comment in response to post
Not a valid excuse for Ds rolling over. They were complicit in those Cabinet nominations by not doing all they could to slow it down...as their R colleagues always do.
comment in response to post
Exactly. Senator Booker's stunt was performative self promotion. He could have raised his 2028 profile AND slowed the appointment of this nutjob Cabinet, but he and his D colleagues chose not to.
comment in response to post
They can't even hit a slow underhand pitch like calling the trump tariffs a sales tax on everything people buy, which is exactly what they are.
comment in response to post
Biden said what???? He must resign!!! /s
comment in response to post
Guy cites public service employee pensions as if this admin hasn't been destroying public service JOBS intentionally by the million.
comment in response to post
Fox would've demanded Biden's immediate resignation if he spoke this incoherently.
comment in response to post
If Biden said it the story would be cognitive decline/forgot their names.
comment in response to post
It's not a question of giving up that power. With Trump on a ballot they win narrowly. Without him they lose. It's a cult of personality for plenty of their voters. No personality, no votes.
comment in response to post
The oligarchs that offshored industry for cheap labor want to bring it back now bc with AI and automation it's cheaper here now. Those jobs aren't coming back.
