I have an evil laugh, but I'm generally pretty kind. I write erotic scripts and make dirty audios (since 2017). 18+ content. Minors DNI. I remember the 90s.

So when I say porn is good, and porn is healthy, it's because sexual expression is good, and sexual expression is healthy. And records of that, pride in that, is good and healthy.
Being able to openly discuss sexuality is a sign of a healthy, society.
Being ashamed of it is not.

At its basest, it's written or visual meant for sexual arousal.
Porn can be something you make for yourself. Or for a partner
Porn can be artistic. Art can be pornographic.
Porn can be a documentary record of a community, or a person
Or "porn" can be a commercial venture. Or all of the above.

This doesn’t mean:
Minors should have access. Workers shouldn’t have rights.
It doesn’t mean you have to like or understand everything. It doesn’t mean certain things can’t offend you.
But that’s true of all forms of speech. And sexuality. And labor.
Censorship silence those discussions.

I posted earlier about how porn is just the start, how “protect the children” is how they get bipartisan support for pushing fascist policies… anyway this is the thread: bsky.app/profile/codi...

Adding a little context on the changes:
- Your "Full name" field on invoices now will be automatically set to match the "Account name" associated to your account.
- You can hide all details EXCEPT for the business name and the Full name.
- Address, Email and Telephone are shown by default.

I may have snapped at someone who claimed sex work wasn't work by saying something to the effect, "Oh how very Victorian of you. Do you also have intriguing thoughts about phrenology? Do you think disease is caused by bad smells? What other antiquated ideas are you bringing to the table here?"

I've bought hundreds of books from them over the past decade.

There is a Canadian online store called Book Outlet with an American store front that sells remainders very cheaply. You may not find the exact books you are looking for, but they will have many on that topic (and they are already in their Black Friday sale) bookoutlet.com

I saw someone jokingly reference The Good Place earlier and I had thought it was random, but knowing the context now... yeah, that is kind of creepy

If this is a serious idea and you are paying a decent amount for those services, I know you will find a very good pool of talent to draw from for this idea.

That is an iconic look.

There's a part in Midnight Suns where the main character conspires with two of their friends to do something dangerous and this leads to a conversation with someone who overheard the planning which has the option to either sell out your friends or lie to someone good so emphatically it feels bad.

I'm also thinking about the fact that when you look into anti-porn organizations (which now wrap themselves in anti-trafficking rhetoric now like NCOSE/Exodus Cry), you end up looking at hardline Catholic/evangelical orgs that hate ANYTHING sexual that isn't monogamous heterosexual marriage related.

I had a family member who started spouting racist things in their advancing age and when anyone (myself included) tried to explain why they were wrong, they would literally start yelling so you could not speak so they would not have to hear or engage with the realities of the situation.

And stranger still, both of the women that man married were named Svetlana.

I just don't like the word illicit in that period. Really feels full of judgment and the threat of "Oh, yeah, let's get rid of all that content"

Even artists who work with found media can justify the choices they've made and AI will never really be able to do that.

I don't see an AI making Marcel Duchamp's Fountain, the equivalent of something like Piero Manzoni's Artist's Shit, a stunning action painting in a new style that is different from Jackson Pollack, inventing a new way of painting or coming up with a visual innovation.

There are artists and movements that aren't my thing and I am fully willing to admit that, but even then, even when the thing they are doing is created with some level of variability, there is still an artist there, there is someone who had a concept and did the work to bring that idea to fruition.

And the character she plays is totally the butt of the jokes she is making 90% of the time.
