For those who have asked, the camera is a Panasonic M10 from 1990, that takes full sized VHS Tapes. It's in an amazing condition for something that is 35 years old. Just check out, how new it looks in it's case.

*correction this one is the M10 version, d'oh lol

Yep, it's not exactly portable, when compared to todays standards lol

awesome idea ... now googling to see what I can get

Just loving how these old cameras look ...

Yea, I've since checked and can confirm this Panasonic M50 model was released in 1990👍

I've seen over on YouTube you can bypass the tape, and recording straight from the camera onto a drone fpv dvr. Then you can just take the sd card out, with the footage straight into your preferred editor. Just ordered one from Amazon so I can try this out👍🤓

Now I’ve got my laser cutter working again, building one sound like a great idea👍
comment in response to post
pleased to report, this one has quite a few safety features ... but yea, opening one while the laser is on wouldn't be great for the eyes. Good fix👍
comment in response to post

I've got no spare ones at the moment ... eBay is probably your best bet. Seen some decent ones go for less than £100 recently👍
