There's a multicart called the Aquaricart released a few years ago that has all the official software plus some prototypes. The developer still sells them on ebay.
... behold my newly acquired Mattel Aquarius computer!๐ฅ๏ธ๐ Ever heard of this retro classic? ... Will add, complete newbie here with this one, so any tips on must-have hardware, cool mods, or games to try would be super appreciated!๐ #retrogaming #mattelaquarius
You should check out the Aquarius+. The maker is an Aquarius buff. There's good resources for the OG Aquarius too.
Spriteworx on YouTube is a good place for Aquarius content too! https://aquarius.1stage.com/AquariusPlus
I can recall the scathing reviews it got, due to the text-only display and just 4K of RAM. A memory expansion unit was available, but it was expensive. It was essentially several years out of date - no wonder Mattel took it off the market after just a few months.
little bit of yellowing, some minor nicks ... but yea, pretty happy with the condition of this one, especially when you compare it to others I've seen for sale on eBay
They do look really cool.
I considered getting a FPGA version called the Aquarius+ from fleabay but can't justify the cost atm! ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
Anyway, I hope that's it's all good and I look forward to seeing the video ๐๐๐ป
Welcome to my cyan world!!! I am the 'Defender of the Aquarius'. It's so fantastically terrible that it's completely awesome. Happy to help a fellow Aquarian. I've written 6 commercial games for 'the wee blue key'. The Aquarius was my first computer way back in 83, and I've loved it ever since ๐
awesome ... in my search to learn more, coincidently found your games over on Cronosoft yesterday๐ ... going to have a go tomorrow and type in your 10Line Bomber tomorrow๐

I can still picture the Z80 under the cover with all of the leads I'd soldered to the pins ... good times.

As a Capricorn I'm still waiting for MY age... which will be in another 1,500 to 2000 years.
