True. For trans people coming out is hard. The people who will abandon you, are going to abandon you whether you do it now or later. The only incentive you have to stay closeted is to preserve your own safety until you are on a position to be independent. Come out for you.

The reason Pride flags can’t be flown in school’s in Utah is because everyone knows that in 1938 a Queer army flying the Pride flag annexed the Sudetenland. This event eventually led to the genocide of more than six million heterosexual and cis people in concentration camps.

Agreed, the only thing that makes the term “transition” useful is that it is now understood to be this particular process. I also have long believed that detransitioners are trans people who needed a longer path but are still very much trans.

The idea that transgender is not a useful idea when viewed from the lens that we all change and grow, some of us need HRT, some of us need HRT for a while to do so but we all do so. It’s merely that cis society has chosen to label trans people as deviant.
