I’ve seen sparkly snow for years but this is the very first time I’ve managed to photograph it. Zero filters. I live in magic. ✨

After playing a fictional member of the Resistance a long time ago, I never could have imagined it ever happening in real life, but here we are.

The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council has been so overwhelmed by complaints about CBC #CrossCountryFuckUp with Ian Hanomansing, it has had to close the complaints process. @cbcradiocanada.bsky.social

Dear manager, this week I 1) Woke up, fell out of bed 2) Dragged a comb across my head 3) Found my way downstairs and drank a cup 4) And looking up, I noticed I was late 5) Found my coat and grabbed my hat

Dear manager: 1. that’s me in the corner 2. that’s me in the spotlight 3. losing my religion 4. trying to keep up with interagency mandates to improve efficiencies in government operations 5. and I don’t know if I can do it

Dear Manager, 1. I drank a whiskey drink. 2. I drank a vodka drink. 3. I drank a lager drink. 4. I drank a cider drink. 5. I sang the songs that remind me of the good times; I sang the songs that remind me of the better times.

Good thread! Especially the final post - consider what can be nurtured in those messy spaces where Sauron’s eye is not looking

Indigenous Peoples and Land extend beyond colonial borders

We are pretty much the only post-apocalyptic populations native to this land. There’s hard-fought wisdom in that, as horrifying as it was/is. There’s understandings of community care and interdependence in that. There’s teachings on the absolute necessity for joy in that.

Editorial note: fascism is not insanity, and the language of mental illness should not be used to describe the hearts and minds of evil men.

If you haven’t already done so, watch Crip Camp.

Now more than ever.

CBC's Fifth Estate has traced a wide web of anti-LGBT hate working to censor or close down libraries in Canada to a right-wing U.S. movement

Just noticing how all the very cool, queer, disabled organizers I follow are trekkies 🩷😊

Yay accessibility!! This rocks indeed!

How about some more art on the timeline?

I needed this thread this morning

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

Go read The Future is Disabled

Y'all pick a lane. Then make a little progress in your lane each day. Every serious, experienced organizer I know is Doing Their Thing. Instead of freaking out about each bit of bad news, we're in our lanes rapidly building dual power infrastructure and networks that don't rely on the goverment.

Brightening the timeline with some art. Here’s a 25-minute pose from some figure drawing last night.

Personal update: I still operate on one leg due to my fractured ankle, my dad is in the hospital with a health crisis and will need a lot of support for who knows how long, in two months we are buying a new house, thus looking for a buyer of the old house and..

Dorothy B. Porter changed libraries 💜 The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization. Enter Dorothy B. Porter 🧵

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

Fuck it. Going outside

Listen, we’re potty training over here. My family does not have time for a bloody trade war

As someone who worked in the food biz for 30 years, I am in 100% agreement with this. The FDA & USDA can't even alert the public about recalls right now.
