Right? Just lazy, bad, DMing and a complacent, oddly unsocial playgroup.

If they had the resources or ability to revive and didn't that's inexcusable and would get strong words from me as a player or even the DM. I'm sorry you had to go through that. That's frustrating and antisocial of them.

It's incredibly disrespectful for a DM or playgroup to allow a PC death when that player is not there. If you are in high stakes time, you either postpone the session or that player simply doesn't exist for the purpose of the session (eg. they had their nose stuck in a book or slept through combat)

While the accumulation of experience that comes with age can lead to wisdom, age also leads to lack of plasticity in the brain, making it harder to acquire new skills, which relatedly can lead to a resistance to new ideas. Also, an old ass umbrella leaks, making it a failure in its one function.

Ahh yes, Afghanistan, famously called the playground of empires or something like that.

The smaller knot looks more uncomfortable and like the person tying it didn't know exactly what they were doing. Even if a knot looks more asymmetrical naturally, not "fixing" afterwards (centering, dimpling, etc) makes it look (to me) like a rookie move. I could be wrong, but those are the vibes.

It probably doesn't help that so many of his supporters are significantly closer to it than average to begin with.

Same. And me liking 8 was one of the factors that ended a relationship with a childhood friend. :| They just could not let me have an opinion contradictory to theirs and all their talking points were parroting the manosphere grievances that were circulating. Wouldn't drop it. Friends since 13.

God forbid a movie series ever tries to be anything more. Loved 8 so hard because it was a complete deconstruction and examination of the hero's journey. But folks with the media literacy of a banana peel got testy they might have to examine their own lives or think and that simply couldn't stand.

You should prepare a Powerpoint for them, listing all the reasons why they should give you your diagnosis. With charts, graphs, and pictures.

We did better in tech school. They had plenty of time to drill if they wanted to. I'm wondering if them goldbricking is a form of protest, since I know folks got voluntold to attend.

Like... Like... What if we all just wore a silly hat? That would show them! And also it wouldn't interrupt anyone's day. I mean we'd obviously have to take the hat off indoors, or if they asked us to. Wouldn't want to be rude!

I've always enjoyed Extra History, but you know you're moving the needle when my wife, a normie, recommends the video to me. 😉

What a precious baby scrumble kitty. I love tuxedos. I hope they find a good home and blessing on you for your kindness and tenacity.

This isn't about disengaging from caring, this is about disengaging from constant stimulus, so you don't overload your internal circuits. Focus on what YOU can do right now to feel a little more prepared, especially for this weekend. Leave VMs for your reps. Do what works for YOU.

Impeach now. We're all shocked, we're all appalled. But none of us except those we have elected have the capacity to create systemic change. All we have at our disposal is peaceful protest with the promise of violence levied against us. We can't do your job and you wouldn't want to do ours.

I'm so sorry man. Hoping for the best. She's a good girl. I have a soft spot for dogs who always look worried and Dottie's look very much fits that.

That shirt is dope, dude. I had to do a double take because it reminded me of our tiger stripe ABUs and I had to take a closer look.

Jelle's Marble Runs are my go to YT falling asleep videos. Mild crowd noise, soothing announcer voice, and the gentle clack of marble on marble. My team is the Green Ducks.

My MIL has the same Coqui stuffy. I can still imitate it better though ;P

It's a cage match between two different colors and textures of turd. Either way, it's a shit show.
