They are even wielding that power when they comment about how THEY are different or better or that it's not fair to cast the whole system as abusive. That is using their power, too -- to shut down critiques from CLIENTS.
Only THEIR critiques are allowed, see?

The therapists who have harmed me the most cast themselves as rebels who were dismantling this abusive system and therefore could not ever cause harm. But that power differential exists and you better believe they wield it. You better believe the system will believe THEM over the clients they harm.

Nobody else cares if a trans disabled person could wind up on the street or without food or insurance or meds … except another disabled trans person.

When people get exposed to pro-LGBTQ messaging that features real LGBTQ people sharing their authentic selves, it drives massive positive sentiment. Because we are normal people and many of us are cool and rad as well
