I’m a New York born Oregonian and I’d fight alongside Canada 🇨🇦 to remain the beautiful, soulful, kindest country that is Canada ♥️
The U.S. has become the STD of our planet. Canada should be building a wall and make pseudo president musk pay for it

I regret not blowing off work for a couple days to be an extra on Bull Durham when I lived in Raleigh. That would have been an epic experience!

elon’s definition of being “attacked” is someone pointing out the truth.
He and trump are brothers by another mother with their fragile egos.

I’ve prioritized getting a library card everywhere I’ve lived. My best memories were at our local library, lying on the floor reading. In college, my on campus job was at the library. My kids were always excited to go to our library, which was 20 miles away. They are invaluable to communities.

I’d be willing to chip in a couple bucks to send elon to Mars. I’d chip in a few more to send all his friends as well.

The stats are definitely consistent with racist misogynists. There’s no denying that.

Why isn’t the richest man in the world bankrolling this? A few million to him is equivalent to buying lunch at McDonald’s off the value menu to many of us.
This is besides the point that he is profiting immensely from being able to divert $ to his own company and projects

Very true. I trade childcare duties for room & board. I can’t afford to live alone if I had to pay rent, utilities, insurance etc on SS, not in the PNW. Cost of living is too high here.

That’s pretty sad 😫
I didn’t realize that SS works differently in TX. Do they not collect FICA in pay checks there?

That’s the big question, and trump and musk have been able to convince people of widespread fraud with SS. The amazing fact is that many of these same people who believe these lies have already jumped thru the same hoops. Don jr was saying ‘tens of millions’ are committing fraud.

And we know how reliable these folks are. They say one thing then do the opposite.
RFK jr has no credentials for altering the childhood vaccine schedule. This whole debacle in the White House is maddening!

Yeah, I hear that. $255 didn’t even cover a nice urn for his ashes. Traditional funerals are WAY too expensive!

I was working and not financially dependent on my husband, either. I wasn’t making a lot of $ though. Not disabled and wasn’t old enough to collect survivors benefits until age 60. I retired at 61 to help w/grandkids, now I’m getting survivors benefits that pay my few bills and I moved in w/family

No, I was 59 when he passed, not disabled and was still working (income from work is a factor). At 61, I retired and moved in w/family. Had to go in for interview and provide documentation and now it’s my sole income. I’m fortunate to have family that we have multi generational household.

Where’s the musk waste machine? Surely we don’t need tRump playing golf on our country’s dime. Or driving laps at the Indy 500. Or going to the fucking Super Bowl!

My late husband’s SS stopped immediately upon his death. I didn’t have to notify SS office. What I had to do to claim the $255 SS death benefit was call them, set up an appointment, prove that I was eligible to receive this as his widow. No one is getting rich off social security. No one.

People who are on Medicaid are disposable to those in the White House.

You mean ‘Fox Entertainment’. That’s what they (Fox) testified in court so they wouldn’t be held liable.

My husband died and had been rec’ing SS, the checks stopped immediately. I didn’t have to call anyone for this to happen. I did have to jump thru a few hoops to get the huge death benefit of $255, and a lot more hoops to get survivors benefits.

There’s not even a pretense of hiding their true mindsets anymore. They are so sure that there isn’t going to be any blowback either.
I’m starting to believe that Kurt Russell’s character in The Thing had it 1000% right at the end.

Being First Lady is work, which is something she doesn’t want to do. That’s why she married the orange man, so wouldn’t have to work.

We’ll be seeing these kinds of letters/posts/GoFund Me messages more and more from trump voters who are utterly shocked that the government they chose doesn’t care about their petty problems.

Our history includes ‘Gulf of America’ and denigrating Native Americans who named Denali long before McKinley came on scene??
Duffy and his boss are idiots.
