Done with you, Dredd Scott Fanboi. "No words indicating race or color, black or white, occur in the text of the Constitution, and neither do the words “slave” or “slavery.”" www.aei.org/articles/why...

Not explicitly exclusionary is not the same thing at all as an affirmative declaration that only (X demographic) is entitled to Constitutional rights. But that's exactly what assholes have been claiming and passing discriminatory state legislation for for 200+ years.
comment in response to post
Wrong. For ex, free black people had the same voting rights and restrictions as whites in several states at the beginning of the Constitutional period. New Jersey even allowed unmarried women with property to vote. This is a bit more complex than you seem to want it to be.

So: Screw the animals that might be helped, because some GOP might claim a win? Do you really want to live in a place where no good (no matter how small) can be done, just because someone you don't like might benefit too? Funny, I think I've heard about attitudes like that somewhere....

Funny, how you want to treat this as an isolated incident and ignore the previous events and context. Almost like you're intent on blaming people for objecting to abusive behavior and the deliberate destruction of their rights.

Puritan persecution of non-Puritans. The Workingman's Party (1870s). The Chinese Exclusion Act (1882). "Irish Need Not Apply". The false narrative has always been here. But observe immigration law via legal due process, get blamed for that? Nope. The problem is nativist assholes seeking scapegoats.

No, it's not. He left his seat in 2017. Hasn't been part of the problem for eight years.

Speaking from experience, the Cat Distribution System and its many birthright union members have a way of making human preferences moot.

But you didn't just encourage others not to. You deflected with speculation about her employment and implied it couldn't be racism. The topic is not blatant, KKK-style racism, it's a proven disparity in medical care for women vs men (and particularly for the subset of black women).

No. According to WXIA she was a RN at Emory, initially treated (no tests, no scans) at *Northside*. Why so dismissive of an acknowledged risk factor that you grasp at straws? www.kktv.com/2025/05/15/w...

Stop logic-ing, Fedup. You can't get them to consider anything that lowers maternal/infant mortality and increases offspring survival to sexual maturity (you know, the *real* metric for biological success). They're too enamored with the "pop 'em out like rodent litters" approach. It's cheaper.

It isn't just online. Elderly parent gets scripts filled by a b&m pharm, and one of them is a Glenmark-produced drug that's on the list. Check your bottle labels and drug info sheets, folks -- those will have the manufacturer and possibly lot # listed on them.

You presume I was speaking merely about the direct response to the alleged dip. Ignoring the nasty nested comment about "too important to use alt-txt" included in the screenshot is real special of you.
comment in response to post
There are *two* reminders. The other is that professional scolds who behave like USDA Grade A assholes and call people names may be blocked guilt-free, no matter how important the cause they're supporting. I added alt-text. Did I do it right?

Protective coloration for the abusers. And it's an effective strategy because too many self-described Christians are more into performative respectability and submitting to hierarchy than practicing discernment.

Bingo. Stupid choice for the Politico reporter to manipulate perception of the attending demographic in THAT district.

Never their responsibility. Since Day 1 it's been someone else's fault. "The woman YOU GAVE ME made me do it." A twofer - Eve's AND God's fault. Who in their right mind wants to be with an alleged adult who won't accept responsibility?

THAT's the real question.

They're like an elderly relative we had in our fam - a "YouShoulder". We loved her, but nobody wanted to be lectured about her solutions to nonexistent problems or issues that were none of her business anyway.
comment in response to post
In your zeal to exercise your Professional Scold chops, you've insulted the "younger generation" and perpetuated the lie that they're lazy, incurious, etc. Good job, keep pissing off both ends of the adult age spectrum.

Well, they can revive the struggle to make sure burial insurance policies on their kids are paid, then. Folks are going to hit GFM fatigue quickly, especially in a recession. Every child born approx 1900-1930 in one branch of our fam had a policy. They had to bury three of seven before age 18.

Can't wait to see what happens when he tells Nebraska farmers to get out of the glutted corn market and plant coffee instead.

There's no way to craft a perfect message when you're dealing with willful lies. *I* distinctly recall that some reallocation to mental health responders, not 100% "defunding", was the point, due to people in crisis/disability being killed by LEO. If you/Obama missed that part, that's on you.
comment in response to post
You don't understand that bad-faith actors are going to spin and lie no matter what or how you do/say? Ever dealt with a BPD or narcissist up close? The only facts are what they want them to be. There is no way NOT to give "ammo" unless you sit in a closed closet with your thumb in your mouth.

I hope department heads are keeping track of how much time their reports spend on these "utterly trivial" tasks he demands. Might come in handy some day.

Jesus debunked "our traditions are God's law" a long time ago. Some can and do ignore the parts (including Jesus's own words) that don't allow them gatekeeper status. If they don't ignore them, they have to relinquish control over others to God. They'll never say why it's ok to eat lobster, though.

Same guy that threw LCMS women under the bus for not producing enough "cradle" LCMS congregants. (Remember: This is the synod that threatened to defrock pastors that offered prayers at 9/11 and Sandy Hook memorial services....)

Magic 8 Ball says, "Not likely". Let's hypothesize you're right and he's lying: Did leadership really expect this to pass, and if not were they a) trying to out him or b) are they just going through the fucking motions knowing they didn't have enough votes?
comment in response to post
I'm not allies with anyone naive enough to think "tariffs are over". Narcissists and abusers don't give up. They wait for a better opportunity or their next whim, whichever comes first. Now, THAT is condescension. Unfortunately, it's also pretty accurate in re: narcs and abusers.
comment in response to post
I'm not defending him personally. If he's lying, I hope you constituents drag his ass.
comment in response to post
And let's get something else clear since some folk have a problem with object permanence (not you, personally): The tariff issue is not dead. It's paused. If someone didn't hurt you the first time they tried to knife you, assume just they're waiting for a better opportunity.
comment in response to post
My God, what will we ever do without texts and phone calls. Or a whip counting votes and making sure asses are in seats. But like it or not, he has constituents whose interests he represents, including tariff concerns, not just his committee assignments. 1/2

I have. Your combative attitude toward allies who are dealing with attacks from all angles are what stink. They can reschedule the vote -- properly, this time.
comment in response to post
He was doing his job on a different issue. This fuckup is due to whoever scheduled the vote without giving appropriate, timely notice to the people who needed to be there. You really think people can be two places at once? That's Doctor Who shit. bsky.app/profile/bill...

Yet the cops were already on their way to this one. Why would he need to produce his DL to a belligerent asshole who steals his property (car keys) when the cops are on their way? Maybe think about what you're defending, here.
comment in response to post
Why would you have to show your license to the other party? Responding officer, yes, but there's no good reason to show some anon, potential asshole your personal info and address. Good way to get stalked if they're unstable. You got some swiss cheese whataboutism, there.
