Third spillover event of H5N1 D1.1 from wild birds to cattle. Two of these have taken place in recent weeks. D1.1 is the main genotype in wild birds (B3.13 has been the main genotype in cows). D1.1 was detected in the BC teen and Louisiana man severe bird flu cases.
